I quit my job recently and today was supposed to be my last shift ever (6hrs). From the start, I wasn't working at my usual efficiency and speed but just over an hour in, I began to feel that familiar yet unpleasant feeling: uselessness. As per usual I was just doing menial tasks typically assigned to newbies (despite being here for a couple months) when I suddenly felt the strong urge to just walk out and so I did. I finished my last batch of food, clocked out and used a side exit to walk out of the restaurant. From there I caught a bus to an auto shop a couple suburbs away to purchase rope but was unable to find it and felt awkward asking an employee about it so just bought a keychain and a soda and now I'm sitting in the library contemplating my next steps. I don't intend to CTB today but rather collect materials for it anyways. I definitely can't use this job as a reference ever again but not that it matters anyways since I don't intend to live long enough to get another job.
