Help I remember reading somewhere that when the brain dies it bombards itself with dopamine and other happy chemicals

So when I OD'd in the past, to end it, I felt strange. But not what anyone would think maybe. I felt like throwing up and passing out, but as usual I felt my stomach drop. Other than that, I just felt like I was gonna pass out when in reality my heart stopped twice.

Yes, I have read that of that theory. I'm just a layperson. but it would make sense that the brain would do that when in great in extremis. That would explain NDEs. No god or mystical woo woo required.
