• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I have been doing SH for a while, today, one of the wounds that I had, started looking funny,I was scared to go to a hospital for obvious reasons but knowing that infections can lead to amputation and shit,I bit the bullet and went to the hospital.

I didn't even bother to come up with some bs,because a professional can tell in seconds that those wounds weren't random at all.I kept my answers concise and obviously didn't mention suicide or anything.

I got scolded by the doctor,as I anticipated, the doctor made me wait and said she would have to contact my parents.I calmly said that it wouldn't happen because I'm an adult and asked for the wound to be treated, she called a nurse and the nurse did the job.

When she finished she told me to wait because the doctor had to see how it was, this moment I felt something was up,because the wounds were covered in bandages, there was nothing there for her to see.I nodded and let the nurse go call the doctor.

This moment I got up and fled the hospital.I know for a fact it is not illegal or anything to flee a hospital, but I also know that if it is an emergence they can call the police and shit and search for me.I am deeply paranoid rn.

Can the hospital do anything about it?

(Pardon my lack of common sense if the answer is too obvious,I am just really nervous rn)

I doubt there will be anything the hospital will do. It's fairly routine to have a doctor check the patient before they are released. They usually tell you how to care for the wound, what things to look for in case of infection, etc.
that's usually all that involves.
My opinion, it's unlikely that anyone will be called. And if they were, you don't need to answer any questions anyway.

As you are an adult, then of course you can always refuse treatment. Fleeing the hospital isn't in good form but this is probably not as uncommon as you may think. I can relate, and would have been tempted to do the same thing.

I suppose they could try to get the police to round you up under the auspices of a psych hold, but the cynical part of me suggests they may be more interested in making sure they get paid for their services. To that end, if the accounts haven't been settled you'll just get a bill and you'll have to deal with that later.

Legally they can report this to your family if they have that contact info or even to the authorities if they believe you are a danger to yourself. The police can contact you and interrogate you and, if deemed necessary, transport you to a hospital where you will have a psych evaluation and possibly end up either voluntarily or involuntarily hospitalized. I'm not saying that this will happen, but legally it certainly can. Depending on laws where you live, it may be the health officials duty to report such a thing to law enforcement.

Thanks,my only problem with my parents knowing is them trying to send me to a mental facility somehow one day,I have no clue if they can pull this out,but they are the micromanaging sort and really paranoid,if they know about anything and it is legal to send someone to such place against their will, they won't think twice.

I tend to think this also. I had a co-worker who killed herself. Our supervisor called her when she didn't show up for work one morning and then promptly called the police to do a welfare check. (I don't know what was said.) The police called later and said they realized she was in a bad way but there was nothing they could do because they didn't have a warrant and she hadn't vocalized any reason to give them the ability to force her hand. She was dead before the sun set. And no, I don't know how but I suspect hanging. Just kinda seems like the type of thing she would have done. I hope she is at peace now.

I got locked in a psych wards 3 times in a row because the police determined I was a danger to myself and others. I ended up there for a week and it was hell and traumatizing. I don't know what to say about your situation because it's pretty different. Try to go with the flow and don't make friction because they have all the power and they'll be happy to use it on you.

I'm sorry, being forced into this sort of situation is definetely hellish.

I just followed your advice, kept it cool and by now I'm mostly sure that if those people were out to get me,they would have alredy done it.
