I want to buy SN, but since i'm canadian and the rules are bit more strict here.
I need a credible story or excuse to why I'm buying SN if I ever get caught doing so.

From what I gathered it's for food curing but why would an individual who doesn't have a meat company would need to cure his meat lol
Also they probably get that excuse a lot so if there is another purpose for buying this i would like to know :)
Just need ideas, thanks!

Curing meats isnt too uncommon of a hobby surprisingly.
Just say something along the lines of your friend being a hunter and you wanted to take a crack at curing the meats he brings in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just preservation of large quantities of meats. Look up meat curing homemade; there's a surprising number of videos and resources out there.

Just Google sodium nitrite and wood. I think it really just involves spraying on a solution or something. I looked it up once out of curiosity, but it wasn't really my focus.
