Whenever I get stressed, I go to my sink, which gets hella hot on full heat, and put my hands underneath to freshen up a bit. Just makes things feel clearer, though I don't really do it too often, only when I really need it. It's good as it won't leave scars/wounds that I would need to hide. My hands get only a little irritated afterwards, although it goes away after some hours, and it's a quick and simple process: go to the bathroom, crank up the heat, and watch our hands smolder together with the stress; doesn't need aftercare either.
I also experimented with making a tiny rift on the inside of my thigh (people don't have a tendency to look there), and then get some hand sanitizer, and rub it in. Felt really nice as the type of pain is exactly the one I'm looking for. Like, there are some types of pain that are more 'enjoyable' than others. E.g. I'd rather do the hand sanitizer thing than stub my toe or purposefully hit a nerve.
