It's the transition into nothingness that is the most painful because you're conscious the entire time and your mind takes that opportunity to torment you over your decision. An instantaneous exit would be ideal... one press of a button and *poof*, you're gone!
I wish there was a fake world or a dream world where we would only experience good things that we could step into.
Almost like an eternal sleep without ceasing to exist.

That's one of the qualms I have, is the whole process. I'm a pretty impulsive person, and my mind flip flops all over the place. How do I know I won't fail to go through with the whole deal if I have a short switch in my brain that makes me temporarily call it off? Then I have to start over next time I wanna do it. Can't afford to go back and forth.
