I keep getting so irritated and mad so easily. If someone aggravates me, my whole mood goes down. This usually happens more with my parents then freinds, but it happens with them too. I get so angry and i immediately get hatred in my heart towards them. I know im ooverreacting but its like my body just won't calm down at all. I can be all happy and giddy one second then once someone does something to set me off, it's like im a completely different person filled with hate.

Sorry to hear you're going through this.

I (think I) am mostly seen as a gentle sort of person now, but I definitely had a hot head and anger at one point. It's not pleasant for the people you lash out at, but it's not pleasant for you, either.

I think it's a good sign that you know something is off, and that it's not the "right" reaction for the situation.

Something is off, right? It's just hard to pin it down. You're angry for a reason, just not the surface reason that triggers it. Something is out of sync, or something is deficient: something like that. As long as you keep in mind that you're aware it's an overreaction and you're trying to get better, please don't be too hard on yourself.

Often times anger covers another emotion, like resentment, discontent, sadness, insecurity. Focus on what exactly being angry feels like

I am too, but it's more of a long term slow build for me. It must be difficult to be set off so quickly like that. It sounds unexpected and disorienting. I'm sorry you have to deal with all this.

I agree with derpyderpins that the fact you recognize something is going on is very consequential. It's often the difference between being able to heal and not being able to heal. Wishing you peace and tranquility.

This is really good advice.
