Hey guys, im a new member and i really appreciate what you are doing here, actually helping people and educating them.

I am planing to do it with rat poison, but i am not really sure how lethal this method is, how long will it take for me to die, and obviously i am scared it could fail. Does anyone have some info or experience with this method, and some tips how to do it, how much should i take and should i maybe consider something else.

If not that, are there any easy accessible household items that could surely do the job, i think i saw there was a name for some method but i cant remember what was it and what were the ingredients? Thank you.

My biggest tip is don't do that. Rat poison is painful and a nasty way to go. If you care to search, you can find other threads about it. It's just not recommended, and I'd hate for anyone to hurt themselves like that if it can be helped.

We have a great resource thread pinned to the top of the main page with a list of better alternatives.

There are some great alternatives, but i just don't have access to many of them, or i am too scared i would fail. With rat poison, i think death would be almost sure, so i would rather go with something i can't screw up. My backup plan is to drink antifreeze, but antifreeze could take days from what i heard. I can't order things cause i don't live alone, so my hands are tied for large part of methods.

I've seen a lot of people on here say they failed with antifreeze, and the accounts don't sound good.

Rat poison usually involves blood thinners. It works by causing massive bleeding and lots of pain.

Symptoms:
  • Nosebleeds
  • Bleeding gums
  • Blood in the urine (hematuria)
  • Bloody diarrhea (hematochezia)
  • Shortness of breath (dyspnea)
  • Extreme fatigue
  • Seizures
  • Respiratory distress
  • Heart attack
  • Internal bleeding
  • Liver failure
  • Shock
  • Coma
  • Sudden death

Antifreeze can make you to kill your family and you still survive (Google Guy Turcotte jail). Definitely not recommended.

Welcome to the forum. I am a little confused. You are new to the forum and you have two threads open.

One wanting to know
1. How long will it take for you to die from rat poisoning
2. Can you die from infectious diseases

May I suggest you read the resource section to learn more about the things you ask.

We do not tell people here how to CTB. We believe you have free will to make your own choices and strangers shouldn't dictate one's life.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have after reading the section. :)

One possibility for ordering, if it's from a major online seller of a variety of products, you can order multiple items from the same site and hide the ones you don't want anyone to know about, just make sure they all are sent out from the same place and the sellers don't ship independently from the site's shipping.

See the CO megathread in resources. If done right, no.

Okay guys thank you so much, i am sorry i opened that second thread, i just wanted to see if there was some possibility you could infect yourself, but judging by the replies, that is not a thing you want to do. I just want to do something simple, with little chance of failure. Would rat poisoning kill me in under 6 hours?

Have you done an internet search for cases of rat poisoning deaths?

Yeah i have read some articles, but almost every one is mentioning dosage, probability, and symptoms. No one is talking about the time, not even for a poor rat LOL. I dunno guys, maybe i will try something else. Knowing myself, i would fail with this, someone will find me and i will end up with severe injuries. And that is the last thing i want.

I have drank antifreeze and I really don't recommend doing that. It's incredibly slow (multiple days) and painful with lots of opportunities to tap out and call the authorities, or be discovered by someone else.

I did a little googling. It takes 12 hours - 2 days for rats to die from it. No human data. A woman survived ingesting 4 ounces with lots of damage. So it's not reliable, takes a long time, and there's no dose guidelines, which makes failure highly likely.

Why would it burn? If i understand correctly, the level of smoke should be minimal. CO itself shouldn't burn the eyes
Trust me it just does. But don't just base it off of others experiences. It might not burn your eyes

But if i do it hypothetically , i think there is a really small chance of someone saving me. If i get half of those symptoms , inside bleeding in particular, i don't see a way doctors could stop that, especially not in my town where staff probably haven't come up with these kind of cases often. The thing is, i am donating my body to science, and i need someone to find me 24 hours after death, but i don't want them to find me too soon. God i have to really mastermind this plan.

Your right. I was just taking advice about it from another (but very reliable source) but then I did some research on it from others experiences and all of them said they their eyes burned. Also I found a book that explains everything you need to know about most ways to ctb
It's called 'the complete manual of suicide' by wataru tsurumi. It is a fact book that has detailed information and instructions on how to compete many ctb ideas
I was trying to add that I'm when I first posted but by the time I finished my first post all of my meds kicked in and I was out like a light

Rat poisoning is not recommended.

Back when r/watchpeopledie was a thing, there was a video circulating of a man and his friend (who was told to record) him ingesting rat poison. The video was about 13 minutes long, but the physical manifestations such as nosebleeding and internal bleeding took up 9 minutes of the video. He started bleeding from his nose and eventually started choking/spitting up on his (now bloodied and liquid turned) internal organs. Even his eyes were affected. It would be a visceral, messy and drawn out way to go. There is no grace or peace in it whatsover.

@Zarzoh and @kamakura, please please look through the Resources thread that @Jean4 provided a link to. It is absolutely worthwhile and the best start to making a good viable plan. Please!

Rat poison is not anything I would want a rat to go through, let alone a person. There are far better ways. If you're anxious about receiving packages at home, get a PO box.

Please be careful, people, and research well.

I assume people close their eyes to try to fall asleep, so that's not my concern.
Rather I am wondering 1. if the CO should be accumulated first inside the car, then get in. But the sudden encounter of high concentration might be worse than gradual build-up? I don't know. 2. Take the sleeping pill before getting in, never used any before. Should I wait for effect to take hold outside of the car first, then get in once feeling sleepy (this has to be timed with 1).

At the risk of derailing the thread since OP doesn't seem to be talking about CO, if you're interested in the method there's a thread on it listed in the resources that addresses what you're talking about here. :)
