I checked it out and peptic also responds to the same treatment for duodenal.

Since you contracted it at a young age I would rule out NSAIDs unless you know otherwise. The bacteria can be contracted via dirty water, food, utensils, or bodily fluids from an infected person.
I would seek out another doctor as that one sounds like a quack.
