But I'm too stupid and weak and scared to use them. I have NO clue how to handle it, plus my hands are super weak, so weak that I can't inject myself with a small needle. Plus they're not mine. It's annoying seeing them and thinking about CTB, and how so many people talk about not having access to a gun, but here I am. Anyway just wanted to get that off my chest it's something I've struggled with for 15 years.

Hey is there any other methods instead. Ctb by guns have a extremely high survival rate and could leave you brain damaged, disfigured or paralysed. Of course if your set on this method I don't want to discourage you.

just as a disclaimer I could never encourage someone to ctb but we are all on this site to discuss it.
on whatever you decide I hope you find peace.

Yeah I don't think it's a good idea given the circumstances that you described.

@Abaigh I don't think firearm has a high survival rate unless one uses the wrong gun, caliber, or places the gun incorrectly (e.g. under the chin, in the chest, aim too far up, or flinches while anticipating the shot).

That's true but most people do flinch or stop at very last second due to SI or just scared for the shot.
Extremely was an exaggeration probably but it is pretty common to survive.

Pretty common to survive? Where did you come up with that? Everything I've read is that firearms are the most effective method of suicide with a greater than 95% success rate.

Not if you use a shotgun the right way. There won't be any survival. No blowing off the jaw or half the face and remaining alive either, if it is done correctly. It's not that hard. Line the walls and floor with plastic and then the cleanup team can just roll you up in it and have an easier time.

Believe me guys it's not on my list of methods. I've never shot a gun or operated one before, and knowing how stupid and clumsy I am I'd totally fail. They are illegal here and I've never had the opportunity to visit a shooting range. Knowing me I'd survive it and shoot half my face off. Trust me, it just makes me sad when people here wish they had a gun, the thing is, if you've never seen a gun it's not as easy as it looks. It's super heavy, and it requires practice. I don't think a very weak or brittle, confused/sickly person could use it to shoot themselves correctly without a lifetime of practice (like people who live around guns where it's legal). Shooting other things sure, but to point it at yourself and pressing the trigger, it could move and shoot somewhere wrong, probably miss and make noise. The only way I could ever use a gun was if it was MY gun, I had plenty of time to get to feel and play around with it, practice etc, and I'd go somewhere far away from my area so no one would get in trouble.

@TheLastSacrifice @Rdc
Didn't mean to annoy anyone. Things I looked up said survival rate was high but they were probably trying to stop people from doing it or I might have read it wrong. Sorry.

I own a number of firearms but I'd never use them to ctb solely because it adds to the already negative view on responsible firearm owners. Shooting is one of the only joys I have left.
Also it would leave a mess and if you do it outdoors there is always the small chance that someone could find you and steal them.

Stop right there. It's not right and you know it.
Exactly. Sorry I meant this post as an expression, not a method or anything like that. Everytime I see one it makes me think about CTB, and I think about those who do wish they had access to one. It's ironic and like dangling a carrot infront of me that I can't have.

Im soooo jealous you have access to guns. I dont and no matter what i do i cant seem to get one. CTB by gun is the only way i want to go because it has such a high success rate. I do not want to fail when i CTB ad after many years research a gun is the best method. I wish i lived where you were and you could give me the gun.

My sentiments exactly.

The mess a shot to the head at point blank range makes is not to be underestimated. This would make for an extremely distressing scene for the person discovering the body to witness.

@Cashewmilk: Glad you found the strength to share this. It's good to talk. Wishing you all the best.
