• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Basically as the title says, I have no motivation to get better. But obviously every form of treatment for mental illness requires a lot of work. I've tried meds before but they never helped. I dont even have the motivation to take meds anymore anyway. What am I suppose to do? It seems I should just lay down and die. My entire life I've been mentally I'll, there will be no end to this. I cannot do for years to come. Im just ready for it to end

I'm sorry. I am the same way. zero motivation to live. The only reason I do anything is to avoid or reduce my suffering in some way, since killing myself is very difficult to do. Hope you find peace in life, or death. One or the other at least we deserve that much.

It's going to take some kind of shock. I know for me, a primary motivating factor in self-improvement is if my survival or comfort is threatened.

If someone told me, "you will be homeless in 3 months as a result of your current behavior", I might take action.

If it's more of a "bad things will happen eventually as a result of your current behavior", I can put off self-improvement indefinitely until I start to see tangible negative outcomes. I think most of us here are planning to CTB before the worst outcomes manifest though.

I'm the same sometimes, took me a lot of doctors and medications that's did nothing to finally find a doctor who got the right meds for me and made my life a little more bearable sometimes. Meds can work, but it must be the right ones. I've seen more than 10 doctors in many years, and when I was losing hope, I found a doctor who cared, who gave me the right combination of pills. I'm sorry you so down, but get a second opinion, a third opinion Or more if you have the strength. You are in the recovery section, so don't give up without a fight if you can. Wishing you the best, there is a tiny bit of hope not to make it amazingly but to be more functional and not just lie in bed staring at the ceiling like I also used to do. A big hug.
