I hate how cruel this world is. I hate how unkind the human race and humanity can be. I hate how lonely existence can be, even if you're surrounded by the people you love and who care about you. I hate how we're placed here to do "great things".. "one day" -- then we're wiped off the surface of the earth at any time anyways! I hate how life inflicts pain on all of us to push us to our max of suicide and I hate how others are hurting!! I absolutely hate it!

I agree. I agree. I agree. I can't stress that enough. I hate to see others hurting. I hate seeing all the bad in the world. I hate feeling empty and pointless. I hate how when I became ill (many years ago) my mind was opened up to how small and silly my life is. How small life is.

Nobody has a perfect life. By that, I mean absolutely NOBODY. Many rich people that go on vacations all the time, eat fancy food, drink expensive margaritas on the beach, party, etc., are not even happy and do not feel fulfilled despite their quality of life. People who seem perfect on the outside (lots of friends, party lots, seem like they have a good time all the time) are usually not happy at all on the inside and usually do drugs.

World leaders do not have perfect lives and get extremely stressed. Popular actors who are very friendly and who seem very successful and rich are not perfect (Robin Williams, Heath Ledger, etc.)

Everybody has their own mental issues and physical issue and health issues. Everybody has their own nooks and crannies. Everybody suffers loss, death, and misfortunate.

I hate what you hate in the first two sentences of the OP, though I usually say I am disheartened. Perhaps dis-soulened is more accurate.

I hate the BS someone put out there that we are meant to do great things or have some higher purpose. People up to at least the middle ages knew life was drudgery, and for them, "heaven" was the manipulative fantasy of a reward for keeping going and keeping on suffering. Nowadays it's that we have a higher purpose, that we signed up for this shit so our souls could learn and grow, or that God broke off pieces of itself to become limited beings and experience and/or overcome limitations, like it's all some divinely justified game. I hate that Buddhists believe it's one's karma to have a shitty life, and that shit-dealers are doing a favor to suffers by helping them to fulfill and experience the fruits of the negative karma they generated in past lives. I hate that with the evolution of language, humans became slaves of symbols and rely on making meaning in order to both survive and thrive, when they are equally if not even more likely to manipulate and seriously f*ck us up.

Ask yourself this question... do Buddhist monks who live in monasteries have to put up with the BS that the average person deals with?

The answer is no. It seems like they know life is full of shit, and are preparing for life after death.

However, Earth is a GIANT prison, and is full of life and opportunity and incredible lands, adventure, ocean life, etc.

Even the greatest of us, Einstein, MLK, so on, will be completely forgotten when humanity inevitably goes extinct. So nothing that we do can matter in the long run. Yeah the world is very harsh and most people are really selfish and cruel and are entirely for themselves at the expense of others. It's not all terrible lest someone accuse us of negativity. Reality is just difficult for most people to accept and admit. There is good and beauty in it, but that's often not enough to get you through the bad. Once you see behind the curtain of how people really treat each other it's impossible to unsee it. I have no answers that aren't platitudes...I just try my best to cling to the small stuff and avoid people as much as possible. The odds are against us for sure.
