Venting I hate having low iq

Hi, this is my first post and probably my last post i'll make it quick!

I'm currently failing my mathematics class and recently got a 34% on the exam. They say I may have to repeat the year. I study 5 hours a day and I'm paying 40K per year, so i don't want to fail but all i do is get 30-40% across all subjects. As a business student, people always look down on me and i've been called 'simple minded' and 'looks smart, but has nothing going on in their head' by my peers. It honestly hurts so much and i don't understand why people are so condescending towards me and making these hurtful comments. I've also been called a 'caricature' and that my writing is 'so simple'. I got like 30% in middle school and high school in english class so it's obviously not my strongest subject. My writing is now one of my biggest insecurities.

If i was smart, i'd make better decisions and get straight As and become an engineer with a high earning salary. I would be highly respected and successful. That would be my dream, but unfortunately i lost the genetic lottery and was born stupid and incompetent. I really hate having low iq. I want to cbt so bad. I'm looking forward to finding anyone stuck in the same boat as me.

failing math and having bad grades throughout high school made me feel like i was supposed to accept my mediocrity and that i would never be as smart as my peers. i passed high school because the school knew i got hospitalized during my senior year and felt bad for me, instead of because i had good grades. i understand your post a lot and it hurts to be considered stupid just because your grades are bad, when you can still be smart as a person. my sister's always had better grades, so she would lecture me to do my math homework for most of middle school and high school.

texas has a thing where if you fail the math sat then you need to do the math tsi when you go to college, but i've never been able to pass it. i need to do remedial classes but i never signed up for them because they're expensive. i probably barely know how to do basic math. i feel like i'm genuinely scared of math because of how stupid i feel and how everyone seems to understand it besides me. people in my life have tried to reassure me before and tell me they think i'm smart, but if my grades aren't good then i'm probably just stupid. i hope you find a way to feel better. it really hurts to feel like you're not good at anything.

I'm sorry that people are saying that to you people can be so mean. Don't feel bad if you do repeat. I'm in high school and I repeated 11th grade, so you won't be alone. All my classmates graduated, and now I'm in 12th grade, and I feel dumb too. But I promise you you're not stupid for getting low grades. I hope school goes well for you and that you pass your classes.

if it's an option, you should probably check for learning disabilities just incase. Not saying you have one but if you do it could really help with ur studies with a diagnosis and make it easier for you.
