i had a weird talk yesterday with the person who pushed me over the edge to ctb

somehow all of his lies put me in a weird place, my head is like constantly in a dryer and just spins and spins and spins.

And I told him I am going to mexico to get N, which I think he barely understood

and i said if a person is dying in front of you, and even if you hate that person, you would still grant him that wish right?

and he said, no, only if they are family friends, etc..

this just goes to show how different people are. If it's a stranger, or even if someone I hate, I would respect death, and do whatever I can to carry out that wish. But to him, only friends/family

and I said, can we just talk on a fixed schedule for the next 2 and half weeks.

he said no. well, he didn't say no, he just didn't do what he said he was gonna do..

and he said to me, if someone really wants to kill themselves, they would just do it and not tell anyone

I am sorry to hear how the whole situation went. Shows very little empathy. I think he doesn't believe you will ctb.

This sounds like the wrong person to talk to about this. He sounds horrible…. Most people who have suicidal ideation do reach out to people. They try and get help and get better for years and years and inconsiderate people like him say so much horrible shit it eventually pushes them over the edge. I hope you're feeling okay.

That person sounds insensitive, I don't really think it's the best idea being open about wanting to die, especially with people like that.

Good advice. In my experience a good therapist is willing to listen and understand your feelings. Regular people often shy away from the discussion because they either don't understand or don't want to discuss the subject.

Yes I'm OP's friend. After she ctb'ed I was just reading her old posts because I miss her. This man she was referring to was a pathological liar and was already married when he was seeing OP. Unfortunately she poured her heart out for this monster and only wanted validation from him...Sorry for all the confusion. She went to MIT but software engineering for microsoft.
