I fucking hate this shitty platform, I unironically think if this platform goes away the world would be a happier and better place.

it's the fucking bane of my existence, I hate everything about it, I hate the people on it, I hate the memes, I hate the drama I hate the layout, I hate everything about it.

The only fucking problem...the one fucking problem

Everyone is fucking on there. Artists, Game Devs, content creators I like, Porn EVERYONE

I hate how every fucking time I go on there I find SOMETHING that makes me upset, No matter how hard I try, The fucking posts on there know how to push my buttons, always guilt-tripping me into feeling bad about issues I don't care about making me feel bad for issues I care about. It's overwhelming it really is. A lot of it. No matter how many filters or times I mute things, especially now he's probably gonna get rid of the block function.

I am a very emotionally fragile person, I try my fucking best to stay away from controversial topics. I know it will just destroy me emotionally and make me spiral.

For context, I was abused by one of my mother's boyfriends for not caring about politics and called me names and would gaslight me into thinking I was a bad person.
That is the feeling I get from Twitter. all the fucking time.

I will say though... It's nice seeing the clock tick on Twitter, site burning by the day, not gonna go all "Boy who cried wolf" but it will die eventually and it will be great!!!!

This strikes me as a purely cathartic rant (which I can respect), in that I think you understand the obvious solution is to simply stop logging into that aggressively anti-intellectual dumpster fire of a platform. I share many of your grievances. Clearly it is a platform engineered from the ground up to actively discourage intelligent, nuanced interaction and engagement with issues in favor of perpetuating our worst tendencies in interpersonal online interaction. Most discussions are dominated by/devolve into superficial popularity contests between self designated "tastemakers"/cults of personality and battles of escalating dehumanization. The chief currency is the almighty dunk. Twitter is the superficial narcissist's wet dream. This rant really belongs in the offtopic section though.

I hate to say it because its so obvious but at this point you should delete Twitter.

I personally don't have Twitter because of many of the reasons you stated. i found that going on Twitter only served to make me a more unhappy and angry person.

Follow your favorite artists and game devs on Instagram and watch porn on websites online. There is nothing really on Twitter that you can't find elsewhere.

and honestly it is much more fun to doom scroll on other social media sites anyway haha
