Interesting take. Kudos to the original author if he didn't personally experience the steps, as it would show a sense of empathy and understanding that's often lacking in professionals.

Some details don't seem to apply to me, but the general steps certainly brought up memories. Nevertheless, it's nothing that I wasn't aware of and haven't brought up here already. Simple awareness doesn't make me less inclined to CTB.

It seems like I am nothing like the average suicidal... most of it is not applicable to me. But I don't think that I am an anomaly, it has more to do with the fact that you simply can't put all or even most suicidals in a neat box and generalize their motivations and experiences. Psychologists will try anyway because it supports their worldview that suicidality is a symptom of a disease, rather than a rational decision.
