About an hour ago after I attempted partial hanging I felt frustrated, and I realized something that I somehow didn't notice after over 2 years of trying to kill myself. I have been taking adderall daily for a few years and apparently the increase in blood pressure and heart rate it causes makes it a lot harder to actually compress your arteries enough to reduce the blood flow to your brain by enough to kill you because the arteries are a lot stiffer and more blood will be pumped through arteries that are partially compressed. I don't know how I never realized this, but hopefully anyone else taking similar medication sees this so they don't waste a lot of time/effort.
