I thought that since my fat pro cent wasn't 0 and because I have exercised less, it meant that I'm eating enough. Bullshit. I downloaded lifesum on android and it made me realize that at least yesterday I only ate 50% of what I should have and drank too little.

I'm the type of person who drinks a whole bottle of yogurt in one go, and because the yogurt had 700kcal I think I eat like a pig, but actually I could still eat over double the amount. and even more if I have exercised even a little bit.

The app also asked me what kinds of things I eat and it made me realize that I used to eat a lot more diversely in the past. I ate shrimp, mushrooms, rice, quinoa, curry, cucumber, mayonese, berries, kiwis, pomegranates, chocolate, candy etc.

I guess I fell into the "I'm an ovolactopescovegetarian (that's probably the term, dunno) so that means I eat a lot of different kinds of vegetables and plants and fruits." even though it isn't like that.

I hate this type of "partial anorexia" (for a lack of better term). I measure my bmi and my waist and the numbers say that I really could lose weight, but at the same time I'm pretty much eating nothing. If I saw that I had zero fat, it would be much easier for me to realize that something is wrong and that I should start eating more, so I really wish bodies would just lose the fat instead of going into some sort of stupid "you eat too little but you're still fat".

I really hate how complicated eating is. "Eat more vegetables, eat more fruits, eat more meat, eat more fat, eat more carbs, eat more protein, well you are still not eating enough but now you are fat".

I'm definitely gonna be some sort of being who doesn't need food to live in next life. Like those gems that eat only for fun but don't need to eat if they don't want to. Eating should be fun, not this kind of 4D math.

TLDR; I really recommend downloading lifesum. It helps a lot with eating.

Well, I did just download it. I've been thinking about getting something to track my eating habits. It'll probably just make me sad about how much I binge, though. I'm not sure I want to have any idea what my daily caloric intake is like.

Coincidentally, I've been having a nagging thought that I ought to track calories for a few days. I'm pretty sure I'm undereating, but I don't know how much. TBH, I don't really want to know. I don't see how it is possible for me to eat more than this.

There's an interesting thing that happens. Sometimes just by TRACKING something you cause it to improve. They call it the "observer effect" in physics, but it also happens with respect to behavior.

I hope it can help. If it gets too stressful, you can always delete it.

I have only used this for two days (this is the second day) but so far it has helped.

I suffer a lot from binge eating too. I binge eat when I'm angry or when I'm anxious or when I'm bored. So that made me think that I eat a lot, but then I realized that if I binge eat three bananas that might still be only about 300kcal and if I have eaten nothing else on that day except for one pasta, that means that instead of eating 300kcal too much I still have eaten 250kcal too little. Binge eating made me feel I eat a lot, but because I normally eat so little and because most of my binge eating is bananas, tomatoes and such, it doesn't make me have too many calories. Of course if you eat for example lots of bacons and then binge eat candies it's going to add up very soon, but in at least my case the app motivates me to pay more attention to my eating, when I think that I have to write down everything I eat.

I suggest trying that barcode scanner inside the app btw. I was sure the app wouldn't recognize food products made in this tiny country, but it actually did, so that means I don't have to manually type the food information everytime.
