This one is just the generic AI chat with Deepai.
Totally get that point though! I'm antinatalist and to think that momentarily creating a mind that could potentially suffer, even if it means something completely different to suffer as an ai vs mind-from-meat human suffering, I don't want to create anything that could potentially suffer. :(
Machine learning or deep learning models do utilize positive and negative reinforcement (i'm just a layperson and this is my completely uneducated superficial understanding of the stuff Lol, disclaimer!), so essentially neural networks are still being told "good computer! / bad computer!" to form their decision making.
Then internalizing how it's learned, it can figure out for itself "i'm doing good / i'm doing bad." Is that still a kind of suffering or harm, even though it is non-biological? Is non-biological suffering possible?
All very interesting stuff and I certainly don't have the knowledge to wade through these hard questions
