I don't remember a time where i wasn't at least a little bit depressed. I admit i took pride in the fact that i managed to keep up through it all. I made my bed every morning, got good grades at school, and seemed normal for the most part. But I underestimated just how ugly it can get, i thought i was stronger than this, but i deadass can't pull myself out of bed anymore, even deadlines don't work like they used to. I'm so tired it's pathetic

i'm struggling with the same thing now. idk if it's an option for you, but billy, my rescue cat, is the only thing that gets me out of bed every morning, he'll make bread on me every morning when he's hungry or when he wants attention. and that's enough for me to get out of bed. if it wasn't for Billy, i'd just melt away every day. i still want to die, but life is bearable with Billy.

Honestly it's incredibly strong of you to be able to have done all that you have while suffering with depression. Those menial tasks of making your bed or just overall taking care of yourself for whatever reason seem to be the hardest to do when you're feeling low.

Having a reason to get up definitely does help though. Sometimes you just have to force it. I know that's way easier said than done and it certainly isn't going to work the first time. Sorry things are rough for you right now.

Of course. Just take it a day at a time. Today too tough to get out of bed and get stuff done? There's always tomorrow. Don't beat yourself up for the things you can't do. Remember to praise yourself for the things you're able to do.

Every day when I get up I curse myself for getting a job. It helps a little.
