Some of the main issues with the normal train method are the conductor, the possible mess it leaves and the possibility of failing.

A while back I saw something about a girl who just put her neck directly on the railway track to make for an instant and sure-fire ending. This leaves much less of a mess and results in a definite ending, whereas the 'normal' train method might leave you handicapped or all over the place. Also, if you'd wear full black clothing you'd hardly be visible to the conductor at night, I figured. You might even cover your hands in black gloves and wear a capuchon over your head to make it all-black. Also, if you do this in a spot where the railway bends, then the conductor has even less time to see you coming.

It's not air-tight, but it's one of the best options I have found. Also, with this method, you can CTB whenever you want and you don't need extensive planning while STILL running the risk of failing.

I really wonder what you guys think about this method.

Less messy but still a brutal way to go. Are you really going to be able to lie there until the train arrives?

Death by train sounds very painful. And very scary especially holding your neck on the track as the train comes. I wouldn't be able to do it.

Some alcohol or benzo's might help with that. Also, I think we all know those moments where you're feeling too low to care about anything.

there's still likely to be trauma for the driver: ""i should've seen him, i shouldn't have been going so fast", etc.

you see this sort of rationale all the time

I highly doubt anyone even with alcohol and drugs in them could honestly keep their head on the track. Well I guess some since thus girl was able to, but for nost of us, imagine hearing that giant machine coming towards you, shaking the ground , maybe even blowing its horn. SI is stronger then you think

I had thos same thought myself. I pictured going to the darkest area of the track, all in black and getting so drunk or sleepy or whatever else I could, put a pillow on the track and then lay with my neck on the track, just passing out and I won't even know rge train is coming

Even if I thought i could cope with the fear of that, I couldn't do it because of traumatising the driver.

It is not the mess. It is the poor train crew watching the inevitable unfold before them and not being able to stop. They did not wake up that morning planning to kill someone. Why should they have to take that image to bed that night?

I could not do that. You hear the train coming, the tracks are little vibrating. For the driver it may be a little better if he dont see your face, but it is hard for him. For me it only could work with much sedativa, but then there ist the danger that you move a little without thinking while laying in the tracks.

I know of the pain from the drivers and I am very sorry. But yes, train is always an option for me :-/ And I am not afraid of failing, the train I would choose is a high speed train in the fields, no chance to survive.

I would not choose train as a method but for the same reason as others here, making the engineer, brakemen, and other workers have to clean up the mess and live with that image in their head. But..... I know a train engineer and he told me it would not be the first time for him killing someone by accident but CTB would be another thing altogether. He went to counseling provided by company then recovered mostly but he said it is a sort of PTSD for him now. Sleep is not always peaceful and knowing people are doing this on purpose is what he now fears most. So yeah I would not want to do that to another human being. Just my opinion. I am also a survivor of CTB years ago. That is another story. Wish you the best though. Peace.

I think this is an incredibly painful method. It will happen quickly, but there is such an option that you will still have time to feel pain on a scale of 10/10... eh

There's really no need to overthink how to kill yourself via train. VIA Rail! Hah Nobody is going to get that joke.

The problem is, who the fuck could actually go through with it? It's terrifying. Even being near a train can be scary. Being in front of it? Not a chance.

Is that how you want your last moments to be? The roar of a train's wheels, the crazy vibrations of the track, the horn?

I get the appeal in a way, but I feel like jumping off a building would be easier if you're willing to choose complete annihilation.

I have a question, maybe a stupid one. Why does the train method have a certain popularity in this forum? It doesn't seem peaceful to me.

It would be incredibly scary, other thing is others could see you go onto the tracks and stop you, I've thought about this method, it don't seem so simple… I've thought if I just jumped I'd be scared of surviving, how could you lay with your neck on track without others spotting you?

Wearing black will not obfuscate you from the conductor's view. Most trains have bright lights on the front to see obstructions on the track. My dad was a trackman for 35 years. He often got calls in the middle of the night to clear tracks after an animal (mostly deer) wandered onto the track and got killed.

Nope. Couldn't do it. There's no way I could even think of it. I would physically not be able to lay down on the tracks. And yes, like others have said, I couldn't do it to the train engineer. People discovering my body at home- I'm okay with that. They won't be part of the actual act. But the engineer might feel horrible as they technically would be a part of my exit. I couldn't do that to someone. These are only my personal thoughts. I absolutely respect other people's choices.
