• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I know that the punishment in hell for extreme cases is 12 months so let's stretch it and say i will get 5 years of punishment for suicide, That's far less than living 60-70 more years feeling humiliated and lacking meaning, What does bother me is that it will hurt the connection with god and the people around me but the punishment itself isn't bad enough to prefer two thirds of a century miserable

I'm no longer religious, but when I last checked, conventional theology around hell was that it is infinite. I'm very confused where you're getting the length of punishment here.

I am not religious, but if I were in your place, I think would take great caution regarding suicide. From what I understand, unless you follow a religion I am not familiar with that believes in a hell, the math is pretty simple. God, the devil, whatever you believe does it, has set up a situation where suicide puts you in infinite torture for an infinite period of time. By standard theology then, you cannot benefit from suicide under any circumstances.

Please be careful with your thinking. Perhaps you believe something different. I ask that you ask yourself, "What do I think I know", and "How do I think I know it", before you make any important decisions that might involve your religion.

Judaism hell sounds like a prison sentence. Most people who believe in hell think it's infinite. In my opinion it doesn't exist at all.

there is no hell because there is no free will. Life is deterministic.

idk, i feel like if there is a god he wouldn't punish us for trying to get out of suffering. i think a lot of religious text is rewritten for us to feel bad about everything. so maybe god will be in heaven waiting for you with open arms saying some godly iteration of "i know it sucks down there, i'm sorry it sucked so much for you that you chose to come here, but welcome". if god isn't loving and compassionate and understanding like that then why would i want a god that isn't merciful?
