Hypothetically could you be involuntary taken into the ward for threatening suicide?

Like if you told someone you were gonna do it but didn't specify if you would do it now or at a specific time And they report you. Can you be taken in?

It depends on where you live. But in the UK you won't be sectioned or anything unless they think there's a real and immediate threat.

If you told someone that you had a plan, the means and were going to do it at some point then yeah, they could force you in.
