So, yes, i'm well inside recovery. TRT, testosterone 200mg x2 weekly shot, keeps my depression and CTB symptoms and thoughs aside.

I am living life, have a job, 10 hours a day, monday to friday
and even though I lost a Barbie, I have a good social skills and one girl who is a friend and more... but I cant get over the Barbie...

Lets forget about her. about the women.

How can I get over the fact that I spent 20 years in depression with psychologists and pshychiatrists?
How do I get over the fact that I lost all my money and need to start over? (Lost a lot of Bitcoins, well I sold them years ago before attempting suicide and such other things)

The question is,,, how do you really get over something? Anyone has a usefull thought?

perhaps you dont get over it, you just endure it? ok, well, but how???

I lost a lot of time to my mental illness. Practice meditation. It helps you stay in the present.

Don't listen to them. If you know something can't be fixed, it's never going to be.

That's what Im thinking, you don't get over something, you get into something new, and that's how you let go ....

i don't know, probably through real transformation and that is, in my humble opinion, always somewhat mystical.

Okay jokes aside:: you in & it seems like working hard on your recovery... awesomely well done, don't judge yrself.
Do what it takes ::
☆ talk shit out (12step group, even sex & love addicts anonymous... evn if u not 1... non judging ppl are awesome to help u get perspective, feel like u developing. Use them as 'guides' to get thru.
☆ Journaling... teaches you that u r growing...
☆ Meditation & prayer - also helps like u r getting thru/ over stuff, yr therapist can guide you on safe practices.

maybe yeah, u may not change. But slowly endure.
♤ u will see it in your behaviour / reactions/ feelings to whatever, that will show yr hard-won possible development. That's ok too.

♡ &About yr 'Barbie'... :: Buy yourself a new one... just don't name her Barbie!

(Have a feeling I'm gonna get myself into trouble over the last one!?) This last is a joke, the rest my advice / experience (im closed minded, rebellious and stubborn, I pray my experience helps...)

What is TRT? And what does a testetorone shot do to your mental/psychical health?

What is TRT? And what does a testetorone shot do to your mental/psychical health?
Thanks for the interest, TRT is Testosterone Replacement Therapy. A testosterone shot has done more for my mental / physical health than any book, idea, psychologist, or medicine. I've stop feeling that darn "I feel bad because of... I'm no good, I suck, and many other thoughts", which those things were not the real issue, but low testosterone drives mood down, low testosterone decreases the possibility of enjoying life, low testosterone made me feel like never wanting to be or do anything. I'm not the only one.

I bought N. I said in a post here I was going to drink N. A very courteous man, who I thought was admin, told me something like, "alright mate, I read you, and in this site we'd are not against CTB, however we are surely about getting better, may I ask you some questions before CTB?" I said yes.

In the couple dozen questions he asked if I had done everything at my reach, I've said yes.
He asked me if I had a hormone checkup, I had to say no, which means I haven't done everything, the next day I had a hormone checkup turns out my testosterone was low, and the doctor said, "this is treatable, don't worry" , I gave myself my first testosterone shot, felt as usual, crapy for a week, by the next morning, a week later, I woke up without ctbing thoughts or depression for the first time in twenty years!!! I went gladly to work. And I've been on TRT for 2+ years with expired N in my fridge.

Love it, I hate other things like selling my Bitcoin when I planned to kill myself, Damm!! Now I want to kill myself because of it!! LoL

Really fucking Bitcoin, but rather than that, well I lost a beautiful girl , but man, I'm nowhere where I was, 2years+ after a twenty year depression period which started when I was 18.

TRT gave a me a chance to live and I'm not the only one, check on YouTube, even famous TED Talks has a couple presentations about it. Cheers hope you try before ctbing to.. and i would have helped some one more. There's already a guy in the office, who asked me about my change and turns out testosterone exam said he had low testosterone too and he's now seeing my doctor.

Oh one more thing , the angel who told me about TRT told me he tried and used Dianabol, but that holds even more caution, so I do use it with my doctor's approval but I'm also checking its effects on the bimonthly blood tests. I have had my kidney little harm because of it. Dbol, dianabol, Damm.... I used it when I went to the gym, plus strength it was a happy pill back then, haven't worked out , haven't used it, but want to.. I'm not doing gym , which you should excercise with testosterone. I've changed the gym for running, started walking to the gym 1k, 2k two years ago. Today I can run 11k in an hour, and it's been only 3 months of serious running.

Books , I love therapy and psychology. Love NLP, specially that book , called Frame Games by Michael Hall
And therapy found in some books by Steve Andreas and the likes

The only reliable method I've had work for me is to simply have something even worse happen that's too hard to get over. That's probably not helpful at all but it's the only way that's worked for me.

um....update.
so my earlier post, I wrote earnestly and humbly about using therapy to get over stuff :: talking, progress journals & group evaluation.
They really have their place.

But in the spirit of full disclosure :: getting skyhigh & creative work with a baseball bat & craft-knife can also bring about great indepth evaluation & change...
(so; never feel like life is limited... so many methods, so much meaninglessness)

My thought: Some have the ability to put things behind them, and focus on the future. Others never manage to get over the trauma of the past, until they are hit by something more serious.

I was forcibly admitted for 3 weeks by a friend of mine, with contacts in psychiatry. She did it in revenge. I could not put it behind me because it was so traumatic. She had also convinced my parents that I was a danger to my own or others' health, so I hated them too.

Despite my mother asking me for forgiveness afterwards, it took 4 years and 1 serious bicycle accident before I was able to put it behind me and forgive my mother. I went to the pain clinic for 2 years after the accident. Learned various techniques to cope with the physical and mental pain. What worked best for me was breathing exercises and meditation (tai chi and qi gong). Take the time to help. Even if you get scars, the wounds will heal over time.

Good luck and lots of LoveS

Only repeating what's already been said - focus on your current state and ambitions and less on the past.

Train your brain to let go of the past via meditation, hypnosis, affirmation, distraction.

Nothing more can be done.

Time. Everything gets better with time. You become a different person, kind of, and gain perspective on the old you. If you are always trying to work out what happened and why, you gain perspective just by living and making connections between current life events and such, and what happened to you. Understanding can help a lot, imo.

Also, when feeling better, I like the thought that who we are is made up of everything we've seen and done, and maybe even horrible events can do some small good, eg helping us to be more empathetic to others, or learning things for the future. eg, we've all just learned the lesson from you of not selling our investments just because we're suicidal.. I've learned a similar lesson myself, but with things like quitting jobs when depressed (because fuck it, I hate it and I will be dead soon anyway..) It sucks to have all the regrets, but I don't quit or make big decisions when in that state any more. We aren't meant to be perfect. Glad you're having a decent time now Dan.
