For normal people (whatever that is) fresh air, music, friends or exercise would possibly make them feel better. For severely depressed and suicidal people however I can't think of damn thing.

Drugs, music, any activity that makes u feel alive like concerts or socialising with good ppl. Therapy, reading about psychology and trying to understand why you feel the way u do. But mostly drugs lol

Usually knowing that the episodes don't really last longer than 3 days helps make them tolerable until I start to feel better.

Those things don't cure depression, but they obviously can make anyone feel better: even severely depressed and suicidal people. We're normal people too, as a matter of fact.

I think finding hobbies and "productive" distractions help. I don't know if they're actually any kind of healthy cure, but it can help you get through each day. I have strong suicidal thoughts and ideation every day but I will say exercise/sports help. I'm definitely not a Joe Rogan "you can just run off your depression!" type because I still want to die after creating a pretty active routine, but I do think it helps a little bit. The part that it's helped me with is getting things done after, like I have a little bit more focus and energy to do even the simple things that are really hard when I'm just drowning in the depression.

I'm trying to get into more yoga and meditation, and probably psychedelics too. Figured I should try everything.

I wish there was a more tangible answer though, for yourself and me. I would do just about anything to not feel this constant anxiety and depression.

Well, I guess I was thinking more of myself. I am severely depressed and suicidal, nothing makes me feel better and I sure don't consider myself normal.
I apologize if you took offense.

Do things you enjoy, healthy things, or if you can, sleep. Most of the time, when you wake up, you will be better. But I also don't know what to say to you, or just to say what you feel here in the SS. Or look for a psychiatrist to be able to help you better.
