Best way I can think of is probably something like a tumor, but I assume you don't have cancer, so that's pretty much impossible.

Basically all other types of brain damage arise from instant trauma or injury, so nothing slowly.

Edit: Maybe something like this? It involves repeated blows to the head, so I guess maybe that's an option?

Please don't. Either try ctb or just live, but don't hurt your brain. You don't deserve to suffer from disability like so many people are unfortunately doing.

You do realize you can just do drugs or something in order to reduce your SI instead, right?

Brain damage isn't an all encompassing term. Even if you did somehow successfully do this, you have no pick of what kind of brain damage you would wind up with. Perhaps you damage your brain in such a way to lose your memories (short and/or long term), or maybe you strike things in just the right way to become happier. However you are just as likely (more likely actually) to wind up blind, deaf, partially paralyzed, or otherwise physically disabled but cognitively still in the same space. Now you've just made things worse for yourself. It's also not uncommon for brain damage to cause personality changes that make people angry or more depressed. Logistics of even doing this aside, it is a very horrible gamble to take and not one likely to end in your favor.

Well said, I hope OP listens to you. My brain's been damaged and my life's been hell for decades. My short/long term memory is messed up. My personality changed in ways I can't describe. I used to be an exravert, after the damage I became way more intoverted and awkward. I lost all my friends and can't form new ones. My thought processes and ability to communicate have been severely affected. I've had one attempt, I wish it would've worked. My life is pretty pointless and meaningless but I'm trying to wait out my mom. Please find a different way OP

Watch Beverly Hillbillies?

This is not something you can easily do to yourself. If you play breath control too much, some get damaged. Certain drugs in the wrong quantity that can damage you.
Not really a method so no real advice.

The easiest and smartest answer is to just not do that. But becoming extremely addicted to inhalants is the only other way I can think of, since that's what I did. Brain damage didn't really do much from my point of view, just made it a bit harder for me to speak well and gave me permanent brain fog. Not helpful in any way at all.

I have an autoimmune condition which attacks the brain, and I can say with absolute certainty - you do not want this.
There aren't strong enough words in any language to truly communicate the horror of slowly rotting away while still alive, slowly losing everything you love and everything that makes you yourself. You can't control what gets damaged, and what price you'll pay for it. If you think it's difficult now, it will be even more so if you end up permanently incontinent. If you lose your ability to balance. If your nerves misfire and cause constant, unending pain. If your memory fails you. There are countless ways that it will make you suffer, and none in which it will help the way you think it might.

Yea my bad I, I didn't know what I was talking about, I thought it would make it easier becasue it would be all the same anyway and no second-guessing /SI.

dont try to give urself brain damage intentionally. it just makes u out of control and u most of the time end up hurting the people around u rather than urself. OJ simpson (TBI from repeated concussions) and probably other ppl with mental disorders.

basically u revert to ur natural instincts and it becomes hard for u to control ur impulses. and since SI is the most basic instinct it gets harder not easier to ctb
