Is there a way to die anonymously in ones own country on this case USA so that family cannot be notified and cannot search death records to find out if you're dead?

One way is to kill yourself in a very isolated environment, such as a forest or even the sea. Now to actually find a place that isn't visited by humans with enough frequency that would be too risky for someone to find your body is another matter entirely. If the body is found, I think as long as your teeth are present, they can identify it. I think.

I will tell them I have no family and wish to not have anyone notified. But then if family searches for me I'm wondering of they can find me that way. Wouldn't you have to offer proof of your terminal illness, as well as documentation in order to set up the burial in advance? In that case, giving a fake name and telling them you have a terminal illness wouldn't work. Also, just a though, but not knowing what happened to you could be worse than knowing you killed yourself, perhaps.
I don't think they require proof of illness. Anyone can prepay for their plot and casket. No reason needed. I'm now just wondering if a fake name will work. I think it might come down to the funeral home/cemetery, like a case by case basis. Funny, maybe I need to "shop around."

Anyone can buy a casket or plot. The issue is, they have to be named customers. And youd have to carry the plot's card to let the place know where to take you.
Then theyd recognize you and start a process or look you up.
Having a funeral at all, is the issue. There are plenty of people who die in the alaskan wilderness and never get heard from again.

Thanks "I'm not Batman." That's an idea but I might be too afraid to do that hmm. If I change my name legally beforehand then could family still call somewhere in the government to find out if I'm dead would it still link to my old name if they called the government?
I don't know where you live, but at least where I live, even if you change your name, your ID number thingy remains the same and at least here, they usually search in databases and stuff by the number, not the name (since numbers are unique, names not). Also, changing names can be a pain and you need a good reason to do so (but again, it might be different where you live).

If you have ever had your teeth xrayed dental records will give you away. You'd have to die in a way where the body would not be found

As soon as a dead body is found, the police get involved. Even if you go to a different state or change your name, they will try to contact your family.
Like other posters have said, the only way to die anonymously, at least in the USA, is to die in an isolated location and have your corpse decompose to the point where it can't be identified.

I was going to make it a cushy exit in a luxury hotel room overlooking a snowy lake truly beautiful but now I have to think of a less desirable route
I have this same problem. Its a tough one. If i go painless I will be found and many people will get sad. I am already an established loner so nobody will worrry about me too much if im not found.
I read something about a container at sea or in large concrete mix but i have trouble closing the deal. Same reason im tapping out is the same reason i haven't tapped out kinda funny huh.
I looked into donating body but its a rigorous process and information will get out.
I believe a good place to start might be organ traffickers. If they can still harvest what they need after im dead maybe they will agree to proper disposal.

kill yourself in acid, end up in the bottom of the ocean, or in the middle of nowhere. Killing yourself before a snowfall comes might add more of delay. Burning yourself might still leave hairs.

Lisa, I had the thought of a nice tropical vacation, where I can die far away from family, and they would have to struggle to get access to m body. I just want to spare them the pain of having to see me, and while there are plenty of U.S. locations where I could do it...in the ideal, I'd be in an isolated, not tourist heavy, Mexican town, in a "posh as it can be for the neighborhood" hotel, dying alone, in peace...
That's an idea because then I could prepay a Mexican cemetery and leave a note next to my body to take my body there for burial right? I guess I would need to leave it in Spanish

My family has dwindled down to almost nothing from tragedies. If I go this way it will truly break whatever's left of my very small family. So I need to go without them knowing. I've already said to them that I need to travel the world soon to clear myself from all that's happened and that I can't have contact etc so they are expecting my disappearance.
I know I have said that before, but disappearing without a trace is also a tragedy. Leaving your family to guess what happened to you for decades is not a lot better (if at all) than dealing with your suicide.
From my experience, the angst of not knowing what happened to a loved one is far worse than the alternative. People can spend years and fortunes looking for answers to someone who goes missing. Years and fortunes they may not have.

If you distance yourself while you live, then after awhile you'll practically be dead to them. Then when you die, whether or not they are notified their reaction will be as if someone they knew died. Rather than someone the know.
