• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Before reading threads on this site I was so desensitised to how society responds to people like us. I was so used to being told guilt tripping/manipulative things. And it just makes me wonder how society can view manipulating and guilt tripping and traumatising further through forced hospitalisation as a "good response" to things like this. They'll go "but think of the people you'll hurt" as if we aren't hurting as well? As if we haven't thought about that? As if that's the reason many of us are still around? They'll never just sit and listen to you talk about what's happening to you, they always have to interrupt with unwanted advice. It just makes me wonder how they can say/do stuff like that and see it as being a "saviour" instead of seeing how damaging and hurtful it actually is. This is my first post, so if it doesn't belong here please let me know and I'll take it down.

I feel you. By wanting to die we commit to a life of secrecy and shame. I've isolated myself (through my ED) so i don't have to suffer the ridiculous cliches and being made to feel guilty. I feel for people that can't escape it.

I was so used to getting the same response I eventually stopped talking about it altogether and haven't until now. Isn't it weird how their response is to isolate already isolated people and then see it as "helping" and "doing a good thing".

I agree. I used to think I was abnormal for my desire to ctb. Now I am angry that society inflicts its own view of "its not normal and it needs fixing"

It disgusts me how suicidal people are treat so badly in this world, but it's just the reality. It's inhumane to torture those who want to die by locking them into psych wards, I think there should be some acceptance of the fact that not everyone wants to suffer. The right to die is a human right, and pro lifers are so delusional. It's like they forget that we are all going to die anyway.

Even if they don't want to accept it, just listening without interrupting to throw in some stupid repetitive unwanted advice goes such a long way. We're treated like criminals for deciding to do what WE want with our lives and it's so crazy to me.
