how should i say goodbye?

i was able to find friends that i could call family and i dont want to go before i say goodbye.
but im worried that my attempt will fail and theyll have a grudge against me if i make them upset or worried or anything-
whether i live or die tonight, they truly mean the world to me

I'm sorry you're in this situation.
Unfortunately, I think they'd be devastated either way. Definitely less so if your attempt doesn't succeed. But if I were in their place, I think I'd much prefer knowing all I can about someone I care about. I'd hate to find out that a friend was struggling too late without being able to be there for them.
