I purchased a VPN plan and I'm using a TOR browser, I figured to order a few things from wherever I can find them.

I'm not familiar with the process or navigation of the whole thing and every guide I read I just feel very lost. Can someone simplify it and share any tips or basics for navigating through the dark web and the marketplaces? Thanks.

Using Tor browser, write dark.fail on the search bar, press enter and it will take you to a secure page that show links to the proper darknet markets.
Good luck

Recommendation is to not use a VPN. Please be advised that for the sake of your anonymity, using a VPN while using Tor is giving yourself a single point of identification. VPNs are inherently not safer than HTTPS.

See: https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/doc/TorPlusVPN

Access dark.fail or through their Onion link darkfailllnkf4vf.onion. Don't use "Tor Wikis". If you're needing advice on purchasing cryptocurrency, "Darknet Bible" has some advice in there. While it is dated, the advice for BTC is straightforward. PGP verify links through dark.fail's site, too.

I would recommend, if you have a computer, is to use the latest version of Tails and browse markets.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. I'll be glad to answer them. in the case I do not feel comfortable answering it, I'll direct you to some sources that may be able to give you a better answer.

Although I've never personally bought anything while using the tor browser, I've heard of many good websites that sell various different drugs. As others have stated, it's not recommended to use a VPN if you are going to be using the tor browser. Regardless whenever choosing a VPN it's important to use one that is outside of the "14 eyes".

I do have some experience with dark web and dark web markets so I will give you some advice

for darknet browsing in general
• i made a pastebin with a list of 200+ links for dark web sites:
just copy the part of the URL that starts with 'http://' and ends with '.onion' and paste it into tor browser URL, after about 10 seconds to a few minutes the site should load depending on your connection (if you get an error saying "problem loading website" it probably means the site is down)
• use vpn while browsing
• dont browse darknet with windows as you have higher chance of getting virus, for best security use TailsOS like how

for darknet markets
• make sure you have a bitcoin wallet, I recommended electrum wallet
• buy bitcoin off of paxful or localbitcoins
• mix your bitcoins before buying anything, i recommended 'helix light' (http://mixerrzbgcknjzk4.onion)
• when you are about to buy something, look for reviews if there are some and see if the seller is a scammer, you can for verified vendors using these services

Recon: http://reconponydonugup.onion/
Darknet Trust: http://ohivsd7ze7rgdir4.onion/
Hidden Reviews: http://u5lyidiw4lpkonoctpqzxgyk6xop7w7w3oho4dzzsi272rwnjhyx7ayd.onion/

It's encouraged to not use a VPN while using Tor. I've given an example and documentation from the Tor Project why you shouldn't. Please stop encouraging people to use a VPN!

Mixing your BTC with other BTC is nothing but a fraud. BTC blockchain is public. The safest away mitigating risks associated with BTC is to transfer it to XMR back into BTC.

If you're not aware BitBazaar has exit scammed. No reason to advertise them!

Please do not take this as criticism for your post. Thank you for providing links. I generally advocate for people to find these links for themselves. Some of your URLs have not aged well in your Pastebin. Overall it is good for guidance.

Lots of sellers on dark web sites make their money through scams, and the way they get away with it is because who is going to report them? 'Hey officer, I bought these illegal substances online and got sca...' 'you did what?'

The most important thing is that you buy from reputable sites, that you can find a record of people saying good things about, and not just on reviews on the site itself, that can obviously be manipulated.

Do I use Tails for Android? I need to 'add PGP to my keyring' but I have no idea what that means or how to do it

The sites are a bigger risk than the sellers to be honest. I had no problems whatsoever buying off of empire market. Well that site just exist scammed, it's gone now.

I tried a different dark web market and lost a bunch of bitcoins after trying to send them to my wallet on the site..... Risky business
