Wow that must suck, takes a big chunk of your day
How so? Like ten minutes tops in the morning then afternoon for me.
My excessive hand washing and teeth brushing are too time consuming though. I hate feeling unclean.

Ah, ok. I spend like half an hour at a time, I'm not fast. Sorry that your other habits take time too, it's nice feeling clean tho I admit

Going on nearly a year without a shower because I cannot sit or stand up long enough and rubbing a flannel all over my body is too much exertion — my muscles burn and weaken quickly, and it makes me very ill for days.

The best I've been able to do is lying on wooden planks on top of the bathtub and let my carer wash my head and face, then my feet. But I have become too sensitive to touch after a bad relapse that started three months ago, so no washing at all. I use baby wipes on my face, armpits and groin while lying in bed to maintain a modicum of hygiene.

I dream of a shampoo. I know about shampoo caps but my hair is so dirty that they wouldn't clean it effectively, and dry shampoo just makes a mess.

I wash my asshole after every shit, in the traditional Indian manner. It makes a big difference, especially if you're travelling or homeless and can't shower regularly.

Id like to more often, every other day or every time I go out is what I think would be best, but I just cant really get myself to lately
It was only a few weeks back I was showering every day just because it at least helped me relax a bit but my mental health has been tanking since so
Its been awhile...

Its also just hard as hell to feel clean living in this place
Its about as bad as the worst house youve seen on hoarders, and we dont have a way to clean laundry anymore so
*Any* attempt to clean up or fix my hygiene feels pointless for me...

If I could ever get out of this trailer I like to think Id be a lot better about my hygiene, Id love to go back to taking care of myself the way I did when I was with my ex
Was actually taking care of my hair too and genuinely it helped with my self esteem a ton
I hated how I looked before that, and now I do again

My body? Everyday considering I work with ppl and am paranoid about them talking bad about me if I smell.

However hair I wash every 3-4 days since it's curly/wavy.

I go straight from showering every day when I have to work to potentially every 3 days otherwise. Consistent motivation is a bit beyond reach.

I shower everyday. Even if I don't do much during the day I like showering, it's one of the few things that comfort me.

I've not had a bath or shower since 2018 due to chronic illness making me almost completely bedbound. I use wipes in bed and just do a small part of my body when I can which is not very often.

I recommend using Nuud deodorant. It can last for days, up to a week for me, before I start to smell.

Once a day, before it was to wash myself because I lived in a hot place, it was hard not to sweat unless I was locked up with air conditioner. Now I do it out of habit and because I like to take hot showers.

I used to take a shower everyday but now I'm stuck with severe depression that's growing stronger each day and I just cant bring myself to do anything, this unfortunately involves hygiene of any kind too. So I'm gross.

It all depends on the severity of my depression. When I am feeling almost normal ( which isn't very often ) I wash 3 times a week. When I am at my lowest I have been known to go a month or even 2 without bathing.

I shower almost everyday, being unclean makes me even more depressed. My hair starts to get greasy if I miss a day.

Welp, it looks like just under half of people was every day, it's a bit higher than I thought it would be. On Reddit, this proportion was a lot higher no doubt because people here have problems! I'm glad I'm not alone, I don't feel quite as bad now. My gf had many goes at me for not washing enough, so I've settled in twice a week. Without prompting I'd probably only bath every 10 days to two weeks, just refreshing bits in the sink that have got more dirty

Honestly, I've found that showering is one of the only things I can still get myself to do because it makes me feel productive even when I'm failing at everything else.

I shower once a week at most. Being that I am dysphoric, I hate my body so I try to undress as little as possible. I don't even change my clothes. Going to CTB one day anyways.

I shower like twice a week and go pretty hardcore with it, I wash my hair then too. Beyond that I don't care because I never go anywhere and I'm always at home just lounging in my sweats. Showering is difficult for me, it takes a lot of energy and I have chronic lightheadedness with jelly legs. I almost never poop, nor do I ever really sweat. I do make sure I'm clean before I go to a social event or something though, but those are few and far between, thank God.
