• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Hiya! Pretty much just as the title says, I was prescribed Metoprolol for an existing condition I have, and I'm wondering what a good dose would be when I go to attempt with SN.

I'm just wanting it for help in avoiding tachycardia as much as possible, and other panic symptoms.

You're confusing Metoclopramide as an anti-emetic to prevent vomiting whilst encourage stomach content absorbtion and Propranolol, as it's been reintroduced for 2025 SN Method, for use as a Beta-Blocker to mitigated heart palpitations with anti-anxiety affects.

Never seen Metaprolol recommended here, you need to put a scientific case forwards for it other than "I was prescribed it".

I have Metoclopramide for the anti-emetic, and then I was also going to take a beta blocker for my heart rate and anti anxiety. As far as my research has been able to find, Metoproprol has very similar if not identical affects to Propranolol as they are very similar beta blockers. And since I'm already prescribed the Metoprolol, I wanted to see if there were any suggestions as to dosage, as I didn't wanna see about getting prescribed a different beta blocker if unneeded.

Interesting to know that it hasn't been one brought up here before considering it's a beta blocker that does pretty much the same thing as Propranolol, it's just not as easy to obtain.

The problem is the METO in Metoprolol as a B-blocker is not a substitute for the METO in Metoclopramide as an anti-emetic.

Metoprolol might be a substitute for Propranolol, but the use of B-blocker was only just re-established.

What a like-for-like dosage is, again, you need to put the scientific case forward, we've all got access to the same internet.

Yeah I'm by no means going to be replacing the Metoclopramide (anti-emetic)

I'd be having the anti-emetic, as well as a beta blocker. Before taking the SN.

So instead of using the beta blocker Propranolol, I'll be taking the beta blocker Metoprolol instead. I'm really just curious if anyone has an idea on what the like for like dosage would be for the Metoprolol instead of Propranolol. As both are beta blockers that will lower heart rate and ease any anxiety symptoms.
