How many people have you known personally who have ctb'd

I have known 3 people (outside of this forum). The first person I went to school with hung himself behind a billboard, the second overdosed on tablets, and the most recent one went under the wheels of a train. However, because I am in, perhaps, a similar head-space to these folks I empathize with them more than I feel sad for them. I feel sorry for their loved ones more tbh. Having known these people personally, I knew they had a lot of demons and problems in their lives. I wasn't closely linked to them when they took their lives. May they all rest in peace.

I failed him. I feel this horrible guilt whenever I think about him, wondering how alone he felt when he died. I should have been there. I miss him a lot and want nothing more than to join him but seeing how his family reacted. I refuse.
