Life is too difficult for me

I lurk around places online that sometimes seem to carry a sizeable number of men claiming to have been wronged by a woman and making dark humor jokes or memes about it and then proceeding to say something that generalizes all women as a whole calling them "sluts" or "bitches" or "entitled" and lot of other things.

I would like to know has any man here been wronged by a woman legally or financially or in some way that makes you think all women are like that ?

Note that you may have animosity towards one or multiple women but I'm more interested to know if that makes you feel hatred towards all women.

You can be as honest as you want, I'm not trying to judge here. Just trying to get a clearer understanding.

I personally think things shouldn't be heavily based on physical attraction, but I see that as a problem for both sides, while others might think its realistic. It's a little hypocritical given that its nice when someone's into your looks, as long as they only mention it once or twice and it's not the only thing they're into.

I think that hating all women or men is illogical and that it must stem from some belief or other. So by approaching it from the viewpoint of asking for one experience that would explain a viewpoint of hatred vs all, it's setting up people to fail by posting their experiences, since anyone could say well that's just those women, not all women are like that. I'm assuming that people that hate all of one gender haven't found it easy to get into a relationship in the first place but can still harbor hatred for the other gender. That might be stereotyping, but feels like it is the case. I considered that not being able to find a relationship might be the root cause to feel hatred at all, so in a sense a negative loop of despair. Sometimes I feel that way briefly after being rejected, before I dismiss it.

I would assume most men that do have bad experiences, in an actual relationship, suffer mostly verbal & emotional abuse, like controlling behaviour, and not necessarily physical, legal or financial too. So in a way, saying legal or financial could be downplaying some of the wrongs men (and women) do experience that are valid, since controlling behaviours tend to skirt the borders of legality while still being horribly abusive.

I was sexually abused by my female classmates in the seventh grade and because of the sexist ideas that men "always want sex" or that we are "stronger than women and can fight them off", no one took it seriously and what transpired haunts me to this day.

I don't understand how my awful experiences with those girls would justify hating women. It's those individuals and the sexist culture/systems that wronged me I despise. Hating a gender seems so arbitrary and ridiculous.

I've had horrible experiences with both genders in a variety of contexts. Someone like me: insignificant, low-status, unprotected and lacking the ability to establish boundaries really exposes how primitive some people really are. So much of their cruelty is only kept in check by social demands, fear of legal consequences, etc. Give people free reign and it gets ugly fast.

I don't think an openly misogynistic thread is a good idea, especially when there are uber-toxic websites dedicated to the topic already. This website should be a safe and comfortable space for all genders.

If a man has had a bad experience with one woman or a few women, that is unfortunate but has nothing to do with an entire gender. If he is stuck in a vicious circle of misogyny and dysfunctional relationships, that is a problem that a mature and decent man would take ownership of before lashing out at 4 billion strangers. Many unempathetic women are as they are because they have been wronged by men, or bought into society's gender-wars narrative. How long do we want to keep this insanity raging?

You think of a woman as a friend, and then you see them making fun of you behind your back.

It's not bad as in that they were mean to me, but as a person who was very friendly but hesitant to ask women out in my twenties, it was frustrating that girls hint in an indirect way that they might light to go out with you, but this indirect form of communicating is easily missed by a shy person- I missed real chances at long term happiness due to not understanding some of this indirect way of communicatoin until it was too late. I still went out with a few girls then. If a guy is hesitatijng to ask a girl out I wish they would be willling to maki it more clear that they are interested- I have a lot of heartbreak from not reading these situations better.
