I stopped the medication (antidepressants, antipsychotics). Was taking xanax against anxiety the past 10 days (not every day) but I ran out of it a few days ago. Now only on my own.

Sorry to hear that. Meds have been proven to be about 5% better than a placebo, they're working fine for the company making them though!

peace/hugs

I'm under antidepressants for 12 years right now. Some of them worked really good, like Venlafaxine, but it has terrible side effects and I can't bear them.
Right now, I take 2 medications. Don't feel any improvement, have no energy to do anything. I visit psychiatrist every month.

I just take estrogen and a testosterone-blocker. I've been on and off antidepressants for several years, recently stopped taking them again.

I take levothyroxine, dex or adderall sometimes, herpes suppression, on pellet therapy with testosterone, estrogen, and progesterone, estrogen blocker. I want to switch my thyroid to the natural hormone bc levothyroxine is synthetic so not as good for u as natural thyroid hormone from pigs.

I recently quit Seroquel
Idk why, probably because I was tired of getting extremely sleepy in the morning after I took the pills. I slept during the day and night.
It helped with anxiety a little but
didn't even chip my depression.
Now I think should I start something else or not... Everything I tried before never made a difference except for side effects.

for my brain: phenelzine (Nardil), alprazolam (Xanax); if you wondering why I'm on an MAOI like phenelzine, it's because my psychiatrist had quite literally tried every other anti-depressant, and he thinks outside the box, so we gave up on the more common stuff because I'm officially "treatment-resistant"
for my stomach: omeprazole
for my blood sugar: metformin
for my blood pressure: amlodipine, lisinopril
for not sleeping: eszopiclone (Lunesta)
for when I'm hungry: pizza (which explains the omeprazole, metformin, amlodipine, and lisinopril, I guess)

And I second what Barbie said above: nothing personal against your parents, but they're wrong. If a medicine is helping you, take it. If not, find something else.
