How long should I expect to go unconscious from hanging?

I'm doing a partial suspension. My anchor point is about 5 feet off the ground. I put the rope around my neck and tighten it.

My eyes felt like they were about to pop out of my head and I felt a lot of pressure in my head but there were no signs of going unconscious. I had it for about 20 seconds.

How long does the process take? Ive seen 30 seconds to go unconscious but it seems like it's going to take longer than that.

Did you aim for the carotid arteries? The only reason I'm still alive is because I tried partial suspension instead of full suspension. My next attempt will be my final,it'll be full suspension,outside.

From the videos I've seen, people usually lose consciousness extremely fast. Almost as if they don't even have the time to regret it and attempt saving themselves. Once you let go,unless the rope breaks, it's final and it'll take a few seconds to go unconscious

I don't have anywhere to do a full suspension where I won't be found
I also have very thick long hair which makes it difficult to properly position the rope around my neck. I need to get some hair ties

A door can be used for full suspension. I tested it on jug and supported my entire weight with it, it tightened so damn much that loosening the knot almost felt impossible.

With PSH if it hurts tne noose is in the wrong place, if it doesn't hurt it's in the right place and things happen very fast. It's actually very hard to find the sweet spot as many have found. Hopefully things improve for you and the whole subject is academic.

I don't have a closet so the only door I have is the one facing the hallway, my roommates will notice it. This is what I have here. I tie it around my neck and then sit on my knees with a pillow making the ground comfortable. The length is definitely a bit too long so I need to cut the rope a little
