I am using energy drink since few days. It is at half the price of red bull and gives me a good buzz , brightens mood and I am able to be functional and get energy. But how long can this go? Eventually I will develop a tolerance and it will stop working. I will probably ctb then .
Any of you use energy drinks? When do they stop working? How many weeks or months after you start?

online sources say it can take as few as three days or up to a month. i used to only consume caffeine rarely; it took me about three months of near-daily consumption of 16oz energy drinks before i started really feeling like i wasn't getting any effect from them, but i take other prescription medications so i may not be a good example. either way, though, by taking a tolerance break of 1-2 weeks, you can reset your tolerance and get the effects again, if that would help you at all.

I don't think they've ever "stopped working" for me. Unless you're pounding like 3-5 a day, you'll be alright. I have a cup of coffee, an energy drink, or maybe both everyday and I feel the buzz all the same.

I would refer to the psychonautwiki. It genuinely has all information you would need for most substances, it's very convenient.

From what I've learnt: In terms of tolerance and how fast it builds up, it depends on your biology and the dosage you take. This applies to most drugs. Try to drink half a can or find a sweetspot with the lowest effective dose. Maybe even something like gamersupps (caffeine powder) could be better to dose carefully. Tolerance is inevitable, but you can minimise it greatly.
