Venting How do I accept a friend committed suicide?

I met a guy from this forum and we talked a lot over discord, almost everyday and he really meant alot to me and 2 days ago he made a text at 2 in the morning that he's deeply sorry that he can't keep living, that he will never forget me and that I helped him alot.
that this could happen anytime was clear for me from the start, it's just that I didnt realise how it would actually affect me and it just hurts so bad, any tips how to deal with it? :(

That's really sad. I hope the pain lessens over time. Personally I would probably reflect on the relationship and try to keep busy and also try to meet new people.

It's hard yes, but try to keep in the front of your mind that he's at peace now. He's not here suffering. My best friend passed two years ago this June, not by her own hand but we had met in the psychward due to her previous attempt. While it's hard being without her I know she didn't wanna be here anymore and it gives me enough peace. At least most of the time anyway
