I believe this; this is why they created the hpv shot ... Merek (pharma) created a vaccine in 2006 & a better remake in 2016. (It's called - Gardasil-9 )

I was much to old when it came out to get it then and already had it. When I was 20 yrs old I innocently caught it from some selfish man intentionally as he KNEW he had it.

There are over 100 strains of HPV; and out of those 100-->14 cause cancer.

I lucked out -(knock on wood) thus far ..(23 years ago) that I did not get the type --(yet) that causes cancer nor have I ever had warts of any type on my cooter.
However - I do kno that it is contagious whether or not I ever get an outbreak or not.
HPV is quite dangerous stuff.

Stay safe; always protect yourself; as we know most people are extremely selfish and aren't always honest with us. No matter how much they supposedly love you. If you can get the vaccination for HPV; you should take advantage of it. Most people do NOT know they have this either; as they are carriers if the virus though. I found out via a Pap smear within a year after I caught it.

I should add I'm not any type of vaccine fanatic or any thing of that nature. Just was giving what happened in my life; and ultimately the info I know & a great way to steer clear of it; if at all possible.

Not all womxn use birth control and more than 80% of womxn are taking birth control because of period and not to actually not get pregnant, as some womxn really have some truly painful period (some even hemorrhage) and only any specific birth control can reduce their pain.

Nowadays almost nobody wants to use condom, even people that go see sex worker which is completely ridiculous, don't use such ONLY if BOTH person shows a recent test (which generally happens in a relationship and when seeing an escort) because people lack education on the subject and think that nothing will happen to them while there is far more STD's than those we already know and most of the time it doesn't even require to penetrate, just during foreplay but the std that are most commonly share is herpes and « crab lice »

man, I swear I'm not tryna be a jerk. from what I heard, PANDAS is really difficult to live with. and it certainly doesn't help that the whole medical community is drowning itself in spit over its "realness". speaking for myself, I believe PANDAS is very real. yeah maybe the proposed mechanism is not the best one but people living with this syndrome just exist. rheumatoid fever has been real before people could understand it. PTSD has always been real before it was studied and added to DSM or ICD. seems like PANDAS also have a strong association with, if not causation to, EDs. especially childhood onset of anorexia. think you mentioned having an ED somewhere.

as to the fibromyalgia reports, well, severe adverse reactions has been a part of vaccination risk all along. its occurrence is rare, but it does amount to everything for the person affected. however, no matter how much authors claim to not have interest in propagating one particular view, the epistemology of science has just been proved to be seedy over and over. like how the "vaxx and autism" article got published in the first place. many examples. and since HPV is not a infanthood or childhood killer, imo HPV vaccination can be one of choice, as it is now. definitely more follow-up studies needed. like people now know not to give aspirin to kids under 16. yeah.

You are correct! I did develop anorexia and it manifested in the form of severe food-restrictive OCD at age 12. I have it again now, but this time I believe it's more due to the extreme pain I'm in on a daily basis making it harder for me to eat.

There's a forum called Latitudes where desperate parents try to discuss ways to cure or manage their afflicted children. It's genuinely depressing since the only thing that really works for PANDAS is IVIG, and seeing how my insurance didn't even cover it for my motor neuron disease despite it being an approved treatment, PANDAS is not even recognized by insurers in the first place… So these kids are just forsaken by the system and left to suffer permanent developmental delays and behavioral problems throughout their lives.

You made some excellent points about vaccinations. Wish I could type out more of an in-depth reply but it's difficult what with my hands being so finicky! My best friend ended up developing fibro pretty much directly after receiving the HPV shot when she was in high school, and now she lives on pain meds just to function.

now I know what you meant when you said treatment is gonna cost thousands of dollars which'll bring yourself back to ground zero even if you win the lottery. also like DSM has always been reluctant to follow any diagnostic advancements. or the artificial division between mental, behavioral, and physical health in the first place. PANDAS is on ICD-11. but insurers don't give a fuck. neither do doctors. now people are left to fend for themselves.
