Help how can I warn a friend in advance?

This may sound silly, as most people don't want anyone interfering, but considering they're an online friend who hasn't even seen my face, I doubt they could do anything. CTB feels really isolating and I don't want my last days to be this lonely. I want them to know why I'm so weird and distant lately so they know what to expect and don't just think I'm being rude. But I don't know how to do it in a way that doesn't just scare them, I simply want to inform them or hint to them that I'll be gone soon to ease the blow. I doubt it'll affect them at all though so I guess it's to blunt the shock more than anything. I'd vaguepost about it on social media, but people in my family who can intervene see those accounts. Has anyone else gone through this/done this? Any advice on discussing it with them, or is it a bad idea to put such a heavy burden on someone so powerless?

I would say writing them a message before you go through with your plan would be a good idea. I have a very similar situation and would want to let them know why I'm gone to give them a sense of clarity in my absence.

You can schedule the message to be sent after you're gone.

Telling people in advance unless you have an extremely keen sense of what their reaction will be is a disaster waiting to happen. They cold have any manner of reaction when in most cases, this behavior is motivated by, as you say yourself,

I don't want my last days to be this lonely.

Just tell them you've been having a really hard time, which is ostensibly not a lie.
