Horrible Dreams

Had a weird dream recently, I had lunch with Charlie Kirk and Obama and Diddy.... really surreal

I don't have many nightmares, but I do have some strange dreams. There was one where I stole a wooden canoe for no reason at all.

Heavens, YES!

Every once in a while, I will jolt up in the bed during the night and have to tell myself that it was just a dream, relax and go back to sleep.

Sometimes, I will get up and walk around for a little while to "shake off" the darn memories of the dream.

Like as a kid it was getting taken away.. then of corpses of people I love, now more modern fears to say the least,
It always makes me anxious day to day lol even if its not real

last night i had a dream where i felt like i was actually dying. the discomfort was what i assume sn would feel like (little to no pain but uncomfortable) and i didnt wake up for a long time. i could physically feel it happening and it lasted a while even after i woke up. i know actually going through sn would be different but man that was scary. i do feel like im more comfortable with ctb now.

I'm sorry. Sounds like it's an ongoing struggle for you. Isn't it strange how much dreams can impact waking life? For me, dreams have almost always been a refuge; even when they've been strange, they've felt somehow comforting, like my own world where I have a sense of belonging. Lately, though, I think the real world has taken them over. They've pretty much just become an extension of waking reality, which is its own kind of nightmare. It sucks when not even sleep is an escape...

Every couple mornings I have to deal with them. They are often so troubling I struggle to shake them out of my mind the rest of the day. Common themes are super gross sex stuff, (with people I know irl, stomach-churning body horror elements, and/or me being raped) people I love being hurt or killed in visceral violent detail in front of me, and sometimes...sometimes I'm living a perfect happy life. No matter what I wake up and have my day immediately ruined.

The worst was a very vivid dream that made me cry once I woke up. It was the most surreal feeling of sadness I've ever felt in my entire life. it was in my brain and it followed me into reality.

Otherwise, the only dreams I seem to have are ones where I'm falling or trying to defeat some insurmountable giant. I'm jealous of people who get relief from their brain during sleep. I can't get away from my brain.

Had one last night where i was kidnapped. Ive had many where it will effect me for hours or days after.

I do often get nightmares. Most of them are about the abuse and trauma I have been through (and still go through). Very rarely do I get really disturbing ones that aren't about my trauma/abuse at all. I got one yesterday, and even now, the imagery of it still haunts me...

Most of my dreams are anxiety driven. But yes, some really are horrible. It can almost be a relief to wake up.

I dreamt the other night that I had left my wallet on a table and someone had switched it for one with all these fake ID's and cards in. I tried to pay for something in a shop and there was this weird cryptic note to meet them somewhere. Then, I didn't have my phone on me either, then I couldn't work out where I was even. More anxiety/ suspense than outright horror but, I don't exactly wake up feeling rested!

Almost all my dreams are strange and often traumatic. I marvel at how my sleeping mind could conjure such dreams up.

My insecurities sometimes creeped into my dreams, so I get bullied or humiliated in them. I'm glad it doesn't happen anymore, because my dreams are the only place where I feel free.

I have been having reoccuring nightmares every night for awhile now like years, I am unvaccinated though. They only go away if I use THC regularly. Alcohol makes them worse etc.
I'm usually being chased by angry mobs of people it even happened at night once that was extra scary. Either that or being chased by police.

I tend to have super vivid dreams, some pleasant, some unpleasant, others just plain weird. I just had an unpleasant one last night. They used to bother me, but at this point, I appreciate them all as they're the most interesting/exciting part of my life.
