Admittedly, all I found was "controversial bloggers" rambling about the sarco machine. They all seem to agree on one thing, though: this thing has a tank of liquid nitrogen which, once a button is pressed, gets released on the user.

The exit bag method relies on nitrogen gas.
I can't buy nitrogen gas here, but I can buy tons (possibly, literally. It's surprisingly cheap) of liquid nitrogen.
I was asking about a tent and a bucket of liquid nitrogen, sleeping inside said tent, and whether it's going to be enough. However, upon learning the thing supposedly releases liquid nitrogen as opposed to filling the chamber with gas, I'm now curious whether or not can I make a crude replica.
I can use a substance (I don't know how it's called. It genuinely looks like semen, comes in a weird, huge syringe, is cheap, and nigh impossible to rip or cut once in place) to seal a box to act as a chamber, make a sort of exhale only opening, and buy 4-5 buckets of liquid nitrogen to sit under me.
To my knowledge so far, that's all reasonably doable. It's be a pain in the ass, sure, but doable. The main question is whether it's liquid or gas nitrogen.
