There are more than one type of hemlock: the tree, water hemlock, and poison hemlock. The Canadian Hemlock tree is not poisonous (although for clarity's sake, you still probably shouldn't eat it!). Water hemlock and poison hemlock are both poisonous, but with different compounds causing their toxicity.Does anyone know of the process and reliability of using hemlock leaves to ctb?
What is your source for Coniine leading to LoC first before death of repiratory paralysis?I'm talking here about Conium maculatum which grows wild in much of Europe. (If you are on another continent, you will need to do some more research.) Eating about 10 leaves is usually fatal. Basically it sends you to sleep, and then you die, so it ought to be painless, or at worst not very uncomfortable. The easiest way to get some is to go out and gather some. Hemlock belongs to a group of plants called umbellifers, that all look rather similar until you get to know them, so if you want to gather the plant yourself you would need to learn a little botany so you can tell them apart, and also so you can learn which kind of habitats the plant tends to grow in. It isn't very difficult - and it is actually quite interesting - but you would have to make some effort.
