Help with my method?

I know my method is highly successful, but I seem to be doing it wrong, partial suspension, my rope hurts my neck, 5mm hemp rope, is it worth buying a thicker rope or do I just need to adjust how I'm doing it?
I want to go, but the rope cuts my neck alot

Well people say what they want, but I don't see how or why it could be fake, to be honest.
