Help Help with gun purchase and tips.

Hi all this is my first time posting here and I hope to be on more frequently so let me start by introducing myself a bit. I'm 23yo, I live in GA, USA and I want to die. Well that's as much as I'm comfortable sharing online for now lol but I have some questions as it's my first time attempting to purchase a weapon.

Firstly, I want to buy a 12 gauge semi auto shotgun. I know some will want me to reconsider the method because of the mess but Ill be clear that my priority is a quick, relatively painless exit, the disfigured face is not my concern. Should I use slug or buckshot? I'd like to purchase the most guaranteed lethal items. I know I need a short barrel and semi auto so I could fire with one hand. But if it matters what specifically should I look for? Bullet size,shotgun type and what not?I plan on aiming for my brain stem through the mouth.

When I was in the military I visited a therapist that put me on some meds for depression that I didn't take for very long and it may be documented somewhere someway that I have anxiety and depression.I've visited the VA hospital a couple times for depression and anxiety and even got medication that I took for a short time. Visited voluntarily but never committed or anything. I'd like to know if this will cause a problem with the background check required going through a FFL dealer.

If I go with the option of getting a gun from a private seller I imagined it'd be much easier. No background check requirements but I believe it's illegal to ship to a customer regardless ugh I wish I could just get a shotgun Amazon primed to me. How do I even find private sellers though? So far all I see is 'Armlist'.

I lost my wallet recently. I have a Veterans ID without my birthday or place of residence on it... useless. I have scans and a picture of my ID I lost but it's from Delaware. I have enough bills and shit for proof of residency though and a birth certificate I hope that would work, if not then off to the dmfuckingv.

I think I touched on everything important. Any help and tips, general advice about this stuff would be greatly appreciated thank you all.

As a gunshot survivor, I can tell you that this method succeeds 99% of the time. Be SURE that you know how hard the kick is on your gun to keep it from shooting in a place you didn't intend it to. As for types and where to get them, I'm pretty sure my mom got hers at a sports store. Academy I think? She has been diagnosed with depression (and was cracked out of her mind when buying it I'm sure) so I think you should be able to get a hold of one pretty easily. It's pretty easy to fight SI with this method depending on your head space and how long you've been thinking about it. I'll probably try this method again soon and hopefully not fuck it up again lol. Yeesh that does suck it's unfortunate that a lot of young suicidal people are probably fucking up right now due to lack of reliable information plus they have to choose such crude methods. Where would you rate the pain level 1-10 how would you describe the pain? How long has it been since then have you tried any other methods since then? There were a lot of levels to the pain. As soon as I did it, I didn't feel anything. I couldn't see or hear either but that was also partially because I blew my eye and ear out lol. I first felt it when my head hit the carpet behind me and then I was super aware of every single feeling. The blood under me, skin stretching, etc. It felt like my entire body was on fire along with the worst temple migraine you could imagine. I also think I immediately seized too but I'm not sure if I was just convulsing or actively having a seizure. I passed out when my mom started grabbing at my head to push it all together because holy shit, I will never forget that pain. If you feel behind your ear, you'll notice a soft spot that feels almost hollow. Well, that's how almost my entire left side feels because not only did the gun damage my tissue, but my mom did too. I remember fading in and out of consciousness but I wasn't aware enough to actually feel anything, I just knew I was in a car. Being "treated" in the hospital was shitty too. Overall, the initial pain was around a 7/10 and it only became unbearable when it was touched or if I convulsed and my head hit the ground. I tried hanging myself as soon as I got out of the ward I was staying in (so around three months later) but failed that too because I passed out and then woke up on the ground because the hook on the belt broke. The main thing keeping me from attempting more is the fear to go out and get materials to try. Agoraphobia is a bitch!

Hi, fellow Georgian here. Purchasing through an FFL, you'll need a valid state-issued photo ID. So yes, a trip to the DMV. There is a revised form 4473 that is used for the background check. You can review it on the ATF website:

If you've never been committed to a mental institution (Line 21H; that's me eliminated, boo), then you should be ok from a MH perspective.

Love the quotes on "treated" lol. I was wondering if that'd be a type of pain you'd never forget and yeah I see that it is. Thanks for sharing that I can imagine that full body burning sensation mixed with the migraine it sounds very... disorientating and traumatizing to say the least. You're definitely scaring me to make sure I do this right haha thanks and I hope you can do the same some day...am I allowed to say that here

Hey again,I'm gonna search around the forum for this answer but I want to ask you here as well just in case. I've just bought two shotguns; a gforce gf1, an a Mossberg 5. The Mossberg is shorter and looks like a classic zombie killing shotgun so I'll probably end up using that one or replacing the barrels to get either one of them even smaller but anyway. I asked for double ought buck shot and was given this black ace tactical brand :25 plastic shot shells, I'll attach a pic if I can. My question is about the plastic part...my friends dad says these are used for target practice and the pellets inside are plastic. The pawn shop owner who sold them to me says the casing is plastic but the pellets are metal. I just want to make sure I get this right. Most lethality. May just order some tungsten shot shells or should I get lead? Idk imma look around the forum for the answer tho.
