Is there anyone here who knows about benefits like PIP? I'm already receiving ESA. I came back to live with my nan and this is a council property. They told me I can't have tenancy because you need to be a married couple/partner for tenancy. I have a cat, he is my emotional support as I dont go outside he is something that makes me feel normal, I order things I need for him online. I have this sick feeling if nan was gone, where would I go? If I already live in this council house and my name is on the family house group, would they house me appropriately? I am single, no children and just my cat that I need for companionship and I need him for that support I cannot feel with humans, I have panic attacks, I'm anxious and worried all the time, my cat makes me feel not so alone. Now I could start bidding on houses but I feel hopeless and I'd rather be with nan than alone. So, what would the council do? I'm 30 y.o. I'm not receiving PIP as I haven't tried I'm so depressed to even do it. My mental state couldn't handle hostels or something like that. I physically and mentally find it draining to socialise, I will have panic attacks at the thought. All my appointments are over the phone. I'm so stuck please help me understand the steps I need to take.
