"I know it's over. Still I cling."

Hi all

I am a longtime lurker first time poster. I am planning on ctb pretty soon and, oddly, the more information I read about the more confused I become. I did have helium and exit bag in the car but was seized by the police (don't ask - full assessment in a secure hospital for that one!)

I Have ruled out N and other drugs - sounds either too hard to get or too unpleasant to experience. Not into jumping ("Aaaaggggghhhhh!!!!!"). Full hanging is clearly rubbish.

So down to helium, night night/partial or car based BBQ. Am I missing anything obvious for the shortlist?

I think helium is still preferred choice but I worry about lack of regulator on balloon kits meaning that gas runs out before I do (tho have read that a very large bag filled up doesn't need a steady flow) - tho they do tend to have a fairly rudimentary turning valve. Also seems a bit complicated, over engineered. But can be done sitting in a car which is a plus.

Have also read helpful stuff on here about night-night - have bought and modified a tie down ratchet. Can't find corn bags (this is the UK not Kansas). So was going for rice in socks instead (on neck not on feet). My main worry about this is that when I tighten I will panic and not be able to release. And I know that is sort of the point but I want my final moments to feel like something I am in control of, not blindly panicking and thinking "Oh shit!". That is why partial seems more attractive in some ways. Have fiddled around with tourniquets like in Five Last Acts but seem to be able to get very tight without any dizziness.

And finally, the late arriving runner on the rails, is disposable BBQ in car. That seems to be reliable tho mixed stuff around about how pleasant/unpleasant it is. Prob need to read into that one a bit more.

So anyway, that is my 3 options I think. I know the info is all on here about the pros and cons and have read it - but thought it polite to say hello as much as anything else.

Thanks

Rob

I originally was going to go with the helium method, however it was pointed out that it might only be 80% helium in balloon tanks.

Hi Rob,

I myself am considering partial hanging as well. I just wanted to share some knowledge with you - if you're attempting and you don't black out but feel like your head is 'going to explode', you're not compressing both arteries. You're only compressing the easiest one - the one that takes blood away from your brain. So the arterie that brings blood to your brain is still active as that ones harder to close, but theres no blood going from your brain. So be careful with that.

Those ballon helium are diluted with air only if bought in the USA. Those bought in Europe are 99,98%Helium

What about sodium nitrite? That seems to be working as we have so many members who died from it. You will need SN (which you can get easily for < 10 bucks on ebay), antiemetics (could be hard to get but some user posted that they sell it on ebay as well) and that's it.

lots of stuff I have read talks about a sweet-spot. Guessing I haven't quite found it yet. I assume I am a bit too timid.

Have read the SN thread - meant to make you feel really ill (not just feeling sick). Easy enough to get tho so I suppose I shouldn't discount it. The antiemetics could be a problem tho - UK drugs market is heavily regulated.

Honestly, I am going around checking sellers in china to see if they are willing to send me some stuff in hidden inside a toy package or some other not-so-suspicious packaging.

Hey Rob, I am also in the uk and was trying to find a way to get ahold of an anti emetic (I'm not using SN but I will be poisoning myself). Anyway I went into the Boots pharmacy on Thursday and asked them what anti sickness stuff they have. The pharmacist said the strongest they can sell over the counter is called Buccastem. They were out of stock but told me it's used for the treatment of nausea caused by migraines. I'm planning on going back in next week, telling them I suffer from migraines and hopefully they'll let me buy the Buccastem.

Just thought you might want to look into this as an easier to get hold of AE.

Hi JOT. Can you let me know the outcome with the Buccastem?

Of course MSM. I'm really hoping they don't ask too many questions and they believe me. It can be so hard to get past pharmacists in the UK.

Thanks in advance. IKR. I've found it hard to get any strong stuff in the UK pharmacies. I'm just hoping I can CTB with a different anti-emetic to meto.

thanks for this - let me know if it works. Out of interest what poisoning option are you going for? And why that over SN?

Aconite poisoning. I'm intending to have it absorb into my skin by a cut under my arm/ around bra band area. That should allow it straight into my bloodstream. I'm avoiding ingesting it as I don't want to risk vomiting it back up but I still want to take an anti emetic as Aconite poisoning can cause nausea.

Also it's highly important to me that my attempt looks accidental/careless rather than intentional.

I got primperan off eBay from Greece with no problems, Zantac can be bought OTC in the UK.

Won't a poisoning still show up in an autopsy report?

Fox is there a regime to follow with Zantac?
It's on here somewhere, try the SN megathread. It's used instead of tagamet as it's basically the same.

Yes it will, however I believe that by going for absorption rather than ingesting, it'll look like an accident / me being careless.

As a side note, I'm very much into gardening so family will think nothing of me growing something weird and wonderful.

I'm prepping the seeds for germination in the next couple of days and will sow them around March so they should be ready to harvest in July which is when I intend to ctb.
