I keep reading about heatwaves everywhere in the world. Meanwhile here in Northern Ireland it is mid summer and it's 18 degrees Celsius (64 Fahrenheit) and it often feels a lot colder because of the winds off the Atlantic. That's the hottest it ever gets 99% of the time. We've had maybe 4 or 5 days so far of sunshine. Never a full day without any clouds in the sky. It's dark. It's miserable. And I'm stuck here.

how hot is it where you are?

The weather here has been beyond bizzare - it is either sweltering hot or very cold. Typically the early summer months here start out cooler and then get more and more hot. So far, the weather pattern has been completely different and miserable.

I also thought it odd that it's a lot more greyer this year even for uk standards and it's now July; we should of had some heat by now?? I love the rain though so I'm not mad at it but it would be nice to actually experience summer for longer that 2 days lol

I know right?? where is the heat and the sun? and by that I mean temperatures above 20. That's not hot to most of the world. Even Norway has had the 30s! What's going on

If we do get it it's always the south east always get the hottest weather. But they haven't had the 30s yet. Maybe they will but Holland and northern France has Already has already reached that last month. Here where I live I never see 20+!

I just wish it wasn't so miserable here

Not a lot really in London where I am (arguably the best part of it(!) ) just damp greyness which does feel very miserable when it's a daily thing. It's either we used up all the hot days back in April or August is going to be hell on earth non stop- no inbetween lol

Up here in kiltsville anything above absolute zero is considered a heatwave. We're all pasty faced ginger bastards up here. Do you know that scene in the War of the world's remake where that giant robot comes out of the ground and starts vapourising everyone? That's what happens if direct sunlight hits a Scot.

35ºC~40ºC Living here feels like being in a hells sneak peek. The sun is so awfully shiny. If you are not going to a refreshing place being outside is a nightmare. I only enjoy nights in summer.

I hate the heat. I find it very uncomfortable. In the UK where I live there has been heavy rain for a lot of the day. I have found some days quite warm recently but luckily not too warm.

Late May-mid June was very warm and sunny in England anyway. I still have a tan! It shall return, I'm sure (though I guess N Ireland is pushing it...)

Do you want to swap places next week? I suffer really badly in the heat (migraines/tiredness/etc) so 18c sounds like paradise to me! :ahhha:

32ºC inside the house, I shit in the shitty summer, if it weren't for the air conditioning I wouldn't even be able to sleep.
