I have so many mental and physical health problems. And was forced to stop going to work around 2 months ago due to one of my mental health problems that literally crippled me. So now I'm unemployed. And people are already starting to ask me "Have you been looking for a job, yet?" So annoying. And I've only had health insurance for a week now. But not even sure, if doctors will be able to help me with this crippling problem.

I stopped bothering with job hunting years ago. At first it was really annoying how people kept pestering me about jobs, college, etc, but with time it seems they lost their hopes and stopped bringing up the subject with me. I just can't be bothered to work when I don't enjoy life to begin with.

In the USA, if you say that and don't have a good reason(in their eyes) to back it up, people will start hating you with a passion because American culture is all about working hard in life and making as much money as you can in life until you die.

If you live in the USA, the economy is so shitty and employers are so picky, they wouldn't even hire you anyway because you've been unemployed for too long. They will immediately write you off as someone who isn't worth hiring because they believe in the myth of laziness like most people. But there is actually no such thing as laziness. There are simply people who can't work, people who can work and people who can work but simply have no interest in being a wage slave.

I don't, but it is the same where I live. No one is going to give me a job, so if I had any interest in "building a life", I would have to work for myself.

I'm barely holding onto my job and I'm pretty freaked out about what happens after that.

Working from home, I spend a lot of time on it, partly lost my health, and I just make a couple of bucks out of this

Being a wageslave will always suck, I wish universal basic income was real

That's all anyone wanted to talk to me about, and they didn't make much of an attempt to hide their disdain for me. I don't talk to almost anyone anymore.

I'm 21 and have never been employed. Like millefeui said, I can't see the point of working in order to sustain a life I want to end. Frankly, I'm afraid of people, and I couldn't deal with the stress of being around them constantly for eight hours a day, so I don't think I could to hold on to a job for long, even if I somehow managed to get one. It probably just sounds like I'm making lame excuses. I've been told as much. I just can't see the point.

I am not exactly scared of people (well, I am scared of males, but not all of them) but I can relate. Having to deal with people for hours and almost every single day drained the almost nonexistent enjoyment I had in living, back when I worked. It turned this boring grayscale world into complete darkness for me.

I'm in basically the same situation but lack of savings have forced me to start yet another job search.

The sad part is that the job I quit while was actually pretty fulfilling albeit not very impressive.

I've got two jobs. Work is a big distraction. I go from extremes - I'm weirdly quite work positive and hardworking and then in my own time I cry a lot and constantly think about taking trips to train stations

I have a full time professional job, I have a college degree. I guess I just get distracted at work or just hide it. But once I come home it's like okay how do I die now.

I have a job as a dishwasher working with two managers who can't actually manage their way out of a plastic bag but I'm still working cause I need some income to buy the tools I need to end my life, whether that's a really thick rope or a shotgun.

It's basically an annoyance to deal with before I hopefully actually have a successful attempt and don't have to worry about this shit anymore.

So a career doesn't solve it. How was it in college?

I've been in and out of about 5 jobs in the last 7 years. I quit every single one of them from my bed. Just couldn't bring myself to get up for another day of shit.

I'd rather become homeless, go to prison or ideally die before than ever working again. You have to have a reason to live to continue working in my experience or it'll become unbearable quick.

I'm living on my parents paycheck right now, tbh i'd rather just be on the streets or not have any family to speak of. They are nice people but i'm just wasting their money/life. If I didn't respect my parents I would probably let my beast unleash and be in prison by the end of the week.
