What did it feel like and why didn't you try again?
What's a more peaceful method?A number of people here tried and failed partial.. Me included a very long time ago. It seems a lot of people start there and move on to a more peaceful or easy method when they realise there is genuinely quite some discomfort involved even in partial or ligature strangulation.
I hate any physical or violent method now really, there are peaceful methods out there so I will use one of those. I find it very hard to put myself through pain unless I'm freaking out and self harming. I refuse to off myself while I'm in a state so I always found it very hard to make myself uncomfortable even knowing it would be over.
Maybe i m not desperate or willing enough but I don't care about that. I'm happy to take the easiest way out I can find.
Yeah, I just can't think of a less painful method. This is how celebrities kill themselvesI have. If possible, I'd recommend full suspension because it's easier to compress the carotid arteries and therefore consciousness will be lost in a matter of seconds. I used a simple knot, the knot was at the back of my neck, and used a static non-stretch rope. My vision became blurry almost immediately and my body became warmer. My vision kept getting blurrier and blurrier. I was still able to breathe slightly. But it was so uncomfortable that I could only tolerate it for 20 seconds. If I had just gone through it a little bit longer, I would've succeeded I think. I wasn't desperate enough. I wasn't pushed over the edge but did it because I got to be home alone for several hours. But if you're desperate enough, it should be straight forward.

Aren't you afraid you won't hit it tho and end up paralyzed?Agreed, but I probably didn't do it completely correctly. Some people have reported blacking out in as little as 5 seconds.
I've switched to a gun (hopefully, I'm waiting to hear back from someone to know if I can get one or not) because if I hit the brainstem, it's instant.

I don't even know what 15 degrees looks like
So the bottom of your mouth is the bottom line where the barrel goes?
I'd be afraid to fuck it upI
Pretty much
I'd be afraid to fuck it up
It strikes me that taking large quantities of alcohol and benzos before any kind of suspension would alleviate the discomfort involved. There would be struggle against the process but at least it wouldn't be quite so immediate and unpleasant, i suppose. From this point of view, partial suspension may be the better option, as gravity does the job once the medication kicks in. Nice idea but i haven't tried so it's easy to hypothesise.I have. Trashcan, i assume you tried partial suspension in this attempt?I have. Whatever happens, anyone close to you is going to be traumatised. More so if they personally find you, as you say. Trying to minimise the damage might involve leaving a note saying you are at peace with them, organising things so that they have the minimum of shit to deal with and making sure whoever finds you is more equipped to deal with it ie emergency services. This issue bothers me much more than the idea of my own death and i expect for this reason i will continue to prevaricate until one day my desire to die outweighs my desire to not cause harm. Have faith that perhaps there is somewhere a natural process behind these unbelievably complex issues.I attempted this last week. Could not get it in right placement to choke myself out and gave up- I also thought of family finding me like that so I didn't try again. Going with SN instead.
